The drawings I did that night were interesting. I made sure I did not have much information going in. The sketches pointed to a young woman/girl with a high forehead, long blond hair and a period dress. Also several male figures showed up. One of these was familiar to Pou Para investigator Ed who claims to have seen an apparition which looked a lot like the image with the hat. The owner did not recognize any of the figures. He also said there is very little historical evidence available that he knew of. Are these actual people who were tied to the Blue Store building? I have not idea…

Psychic or automatic drawing if you will, does not have any basis in science, so I cannot definitively say it is accurate. It is interesting when images tie in with old photos or experiences of others. In this case, I would say it was inconclusive. There was a young woman killed by a stage coach in front of the building. I would consider I was influenced by comments I heard earlier. It’s time to google for some answers…

I welcome comments on these. I’m curious about impressions of others, especially if you are familiar with Blue Store Restaurant on Rte 9 in Livingston, NY. If you get a chance, you MUST go there for dinner. The place is gorgeous! It is quite welcoming. You will be well treated by the ghostly bartender. The spirits are friendly for the most part, just don’t chase ‘em around too much. They like their peace.

Enjoy the comics! These are loosely based on the experiences we had at Blue Store. While Ed never got beaten up, he wished he did… (Okay, so I’m giving some away – I can’t help it.)

This has been an amazing experience. I have learned new skills, and more importantly, how NOT to be a technophobe. Yes, I am embracing my inner nerd.

I am unsure how this will translate into a new job. I’m going to play it intuitively. I still would prefer to win Mega Millions and just work on my comic strip, developing product and writing books for it, as well as the paranormal stuff. However, it will be rewarding to apply my skills and talents to the business sector. I have allowed my career to flow into unique situations. I enjoy interesting experiences, even if they were low paying. I prefer a position where I can make a positive contribution and create change and growth for a company. Alas, I’m entrepreneurial in nature and that has led me to work with many clients with new ventures. The results of this have not always been financially positive for me. Yet, the experiences have been rewarding.

Currently, I’m looking down several paths and unsure of which to take. I usually choose the one less traveled by, but I’m keeping the options open. Like Gandalf, I’m seeking the one that smells fresher, as I’ve done my time in Moria and need to come up for air.

IndyPara, my team, and Poughkeepsie Paranormal Investigators joined forces for a live ghost hunt on Paranormal Valley – http://www.yourbgm.tv.

Blue Store Restaurant in Livingston, New York is a gorgeous, well-decorated building of historic proportions. AND, it has ghosts! I went into this investigation with little or no background. In fact I could barely get the name right. The reason for this madness (and I call it madness because I generally prefer to go in with all the facts I can Google up about it), was to have a clean slate for some psychic drawing.

Joining us was Indy co-founder Donna Parish-Bischoff, Indy psychic John Robinson (Johnny Angel), and I. Indy investigator and occultist, Nathan Drake Schoonover hosted the event. PouPara brought co-founder Jim Mulcahy, investigators Ed Bates, and Mike Groth.

My first personal experience in this place was a fully charged camera battery going dead almost instantaneously in the bar. This area would prove productive for us later on. We split into our two teams. Indy headed to the third floor. Before everything got underway, I heard a moan in the paneled room. As usual, I was running my recorder from the time we began. I’m glad I did as I caught more EVPs before things started than later on. (Although I’m still going through the evidence, which may hold more.)

The third floor held mysteries of a young girl who was killed in a stagecoach accident in front of the building. Ironically, I did draw several images of a young girl with a curiously high forehead, wearing a puffy-sleeved dress and a bow in her hair. Our psychic confirmed the bow, but her felt the girl was a young woman. We began in the bathroom where we felt the most energy initially. By the time setup had occurred the ghosts had moved on. We shifted to a room further down the hallway. Here we had answers to questions on Donna’s EMF meter. John picked up a name, which related to me. I need to contact this person who was mentioned to will to see what the issue is. I may relate to another potential investigation for us.

After a quick review, the teams switched venues and Indy wound up in the bar room. Here we had some interesting activity. The jukebox would fire up as if it was shifting CDs. When we made an inquiry to the owner about this, it seems it does cycle every so often. That was debunked… Then I heard noises on at the other side of the bar near the entrance. Nathan said a view saw the bar stool move. I asked the entity, “Did you make that noise?” It happened again. I was able to discover the bar stools can rock and make the same noise. Was this paranormal? It could be, or it could be a vibration from people walking around upstairs. We had plenty of hits on the EMF. John had the impressions of a bartender. He picked up the name Stanley. The owner confirmed a former bartender had passed. But the name Stanley is a mystery. I also drew a couple male characters. Later in the basement, I drew one with hat which was claimed to be a similar figure psychically seen by Ed of Pou Para in the bar earlier.

After a large EMF hit, which I sensed beforehand, in a corner dining room, we broke for a recap before heading to the basement. Apparently, Pou Para found quite a bit of activity upstairs. Jim saw a flash of light behind Ed who felt he was pushed from behind. They also experienced activity in the bar area similar to what we did.

The basement holds an entity, which likes to toss stones at employees who venture down to the storage area. Also, someone went to get a bottle of liquor only to have his hand pushed away as he went to pick it up. Needless to say, he was pretty freaked out. We “rode into town” provoking… for entertainment purposes. I tend not to do that unless I need to, but this was purely for audience entertainment. I felt I was on a Ghost Adventures episode. Alas, I got to use my favorite term of endearment, “rat bastard.” We were hoping to get Ed scratched or shoved. He’s been wishing for a ghost takedown ever since I’ve known him. So, it was my mission to assist in his demise. Unfortunately, he only felt a little shove. The ghost was unwilling or unable to turn him upside down and stuff him in a barrel. I did do some interesting drawing. The EMF confirmed the one I was drawing was the entity in the basement. He looked a bit like Jimmy Durante to me. I’ll post these drawings later after I scan them.

Blue Store Restaurant is worth the trip to Livingston just to enjoy the fabulous atmosphere. It’s about two and a half hours north of New York City. I’m looking forward to an IndyPara/Pou Para dinner there. We will bring our recorders to see if anyone else joins us!
