Halloween candy for ME

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Once again, at least one of the two of us in the household came home with Halloween candy yesterday… And, once again, we got NO trick-or-treaters. We NEVER get them. It’s just too dark and scary where I live. It could also be my resident ghost. But, she’s been relatively quiet.

So, all the more candy for ME! I’m sporting a minorly upset stomach this morning after an evening of candy gorging. I’ve TIVOed Ghost Hunters Live so I can watch it un-live tonight. Thrilling! Who says we all have to do things the same way anyhow?!

Another evening of candy and another stomache to come… unless I come to my senses and institute portion control.

Candied Ghost Hunters

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Well, ate way to much chocolate yet again… this time watching “Ghost Hunters Live” - un-live.

Well known for my wrestling prowess, I’d love to take down that wrestling dude… I’m still at a loss for how wrestling and ghost hunting relate. Aside from having my bed shook like the San Francisco earthquake, I’ve yet to be decked by an entity.

There is always a first, I suppose. Let’s just stay open-minded.

Santa Alicia - Caménèra Reserve 2006

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

A fine wine from the Maipo Valley of Chile. It goes great with a third night of Ghost Hunters Live (un-live). However, it goes really sucky with the pizza… Olives just don’t cut it with this wine. It’s meant for a non-acidic fare, like the pepperoni and the sausage or cheese… just not olives.

Caménèra is a nice refreshing change from my usual Cabernet. It packs just enough heat to keep me interested and has a pleasantness all it’s own.

Great for a haunt on the town… or deep in a mysterious villa of Chile, nestled in the haunt of the mountains, brisk air, fresh taste… edge of the lake watching the wake lap the shore, remote, in peace, private.

I should write for Zagats… HA!
