I had the pleasure of meeting Carl Johnson and his side-kick Dena Petrazini at the Queen City Paracon in April. These two were a lot of fun. Yes, Dena is a “rock star” in the performing sense. She doesn’t miss a chance to entertain.
I ribbed Carl for resembling Kevin Spacey. His appearance and some of his mannerisms line up. Interestingly enough, when I drew him and Kevin (you’ll see in an upcoming comic) they looked clearly different. I guess since they ARE different spirits, it actually shows up in comic form. Intriguing…
Since Carl is a demonologist (you may have seen him on Ghost Hunters when he was with TAPS, and on other paranormal shows), he asked me if he inspired the character of Vlad. Interestingly enough, including a demonologistdoes come out of the early Ghost Hunters when Carl and his brother Keith used to appear regularly. However, Carl is far from the twisted, closed character of Vlad… Carl is rather un-demonic.
In fact, Carl is a great investigator who placates spirits in a gentle fashion. It is important to honor with compassion those who remain here after death. He and Dena make a great team, fun to investigate with and to share a few drinks.

Carl and Keith Johnson are phonies.
They are obvious phonies.
These guys have had no formal theological education and pass themselves off as demonologists for no other reason than profit.
They prey on the gullible and should be arrested as the con artists that they are.
Their association with those two idiot plumbers and their monkey-boy Steve prove that, they have been outed as fakers of evidence.
I always encourage all opinions on here. I do know Carl in passing and find him to be a likable decent guy. I always withhold judgment until I have absolute evidence.
