Tyler and His Sleeping Ghosts…

Tyler of Kentucky Paranormal Group has an interesting way of approaching EVP questions… At the Shanley we mostly investigated with rooms with beds. Often we would camp on them and ask questions. Tyler invariably would ask a spirit to sit on the bed with him, or shake the bed.

All of these are legititmate EVP questions designed to illicit a response from the spirit entity. However, Tyler crossed the line when he threatened that he would, if the ghost didn’t respond, climb into bed with him/her that night…

He got his EVP response:

Apparently the entity was not upset by his offer…

Choking Sensation…

While on the Shanley Investigation, we were alerted to a spot where a woman had hung herself. Reports have indicated people feel a choking sensation standing under that spot. So, I decided to play guinea pig…

I did not feel a choking sensation. However, as I went to step over to take a seat I got a feeling of intense vertigo… I nearly fell over. It was strange. The floor there was fairly level. Also, we had enough light so that I could see clearly. Nor was I able to see evidence of optical illusions that would tip me up. AND, I certainly ate enuff, nor had I been into the beer yet.

Today’s comic is based on the many reports of weird sensations under that beam.

Power of suggestion? – Maybe…

EMF Tennis…

We had a game of “EMF Tennis” go on at the Shanley investigation. Our group has positioned a K2 Meter at the end of the bed and a standard EMF detector up by the pillows. (EMF stands for Electromagnetic field – it is assumed a spirit will give off this energy)

Our guys had the spirit in question raising the needle on the EMF and lighting up the K2 back and forth… just like a tennis match. This went of for some time. At one point I asked the spirit if I could touch him. (We got an EVP confirming he was called Vince). I put my hand into them middle of the bed and felt an incredible hot spot. Usually one feels a cold spot. It is likely the entity was putting out so much energy to effect the equipment that it generated heat.

This was an exciting interaction. Shortly afterwards, the spirit moved over next to me. I could feel the energy of it on my arm. The person next to me felt the same thing.

KPG and Paranormal Lockdown…

Firstly, I have been informed by Rich, the star of today’s cartoon, that I have used the WRONG initials for Kentucky Paranormal Group. I don’t know what brain fart caused it, but I was originally referring to them as KYPG, when, in fact, they are KPG. DUH!  So I hereby retract any KYPGs and replace them with KPGs. Now I’ve got to get into PhotoShop and fix some ‘toons. Sheesh.

The cartoon du jous is about an actual experience Rich had at the Shanley. We were all hanging out when he burst out of the Bordello Room in a fury. He was positive one of us locked him in. None of us had thought of that joke yet, so it wasn’t anyone – not even owners Sal or Cynthia.

Every attempt to debunk it came up empty. So, we were left with only one answer – paranormal. One would have to use physical force to push in the door to slide the lock in place.

That was one of the many exciting personal experiences we had there.

I will add that Rich isn’t as fierce as I portray him… It just makes good humor to draw him all “grumped out”.

Kentucky Paranormal Group Guest Draw

Since KPG did the Shanley investigation with me, they automatically become Guest Draws in the Entities-R-Us version of the ghost hunt in question.

So, you’ll meet Rich, Jake, Tyler, Tim and Kevin. They are a bunch of characters who are very serious about their job as paranormal investigators. I found them both professional and fun to work with… and just as amusing to cartoon.

Today’s ‘toon is the arrival… which is pretty spot on. They may not have driven 172.5 hours, but they did come straight from Kentucky to New York in one shot. I give ’em credit for having enough steam to go ’til 4 am the next day… actually longer. I went to bed a 4, they stayed up to play cards with the spirits!
