Energy Vampires…

The Sunday comic is about energy vampires… at least a different take on them. Many of us have experienced those folks who seem to “suck you dry” when they hang out with you. I have relatives like this that leave me collapsed on the couch, exhausted after a visit. The rest of us left sit around silent, sipping a comforting glass of Cabernet and wondering where all the energy went. It left with the last guest!

Entities-R-Us, Ghost Hunters discover that their new investigator has found a novel way to feed her need… This, of course, wreaks havoc on a paranormal investigation that relies on working batteries.

It would be interesting to check battery levels after an energy vampire leaves the house… HA!

I think I have a new character for our comic strip here… This could prove interesting.

Ghosts are at it again…

Saturday’s comic is from the spirit perspective. Using the Ouija Nite ghosts Thor and Carl, I decided to take Carl (usually the mouthy, outspoken one) and play on his insecurities.

It’s been a hoot to have him decide he needs to be more frightening. The old Roman helmet thing just wasn’t working. I’ve done a few more of these that will appear in the coming days. They’re pretty amusing… to me anyway.

Just think, ghosts have insecurities too! Most likely, that’s why they still stick around on the Earth plane. What better place to be insecure than on Earth?! Most of us can vouch for that.

Ghost Hunter Competition

I’ve been chatting with a few groups online and there are some paranormal groups who feel they are in competition with others in the area.

While there is an ever growing number of ghost hunters out there, I believe there is plenty of paranormal activity for all of them. In fact, I did a comic about that a while back. If you hit the archives for October 13, it is there to peruse.

It is my opinion that one investigation will not produce all the evidence necessary to prove a haunting. Since spirits were/are people, they may respond to one group of investigators better than another. Therefore, different groups should unite comparing evidence and techniques.

How else will we all learn about this phenomena? We should stick together. There’s plenty of ghosts to go ’round.

Wayne Dyer in the discount rack…

Took a little time off to head to Barnes and Noble for casual book hunting, cartoon idea writing and molten java. While on my wanderings I discovered Wayne Dyer’s Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life – Living the Wisdom of the Tao was in the discount rack! I’ve never encountered his books in discount land – ever.

This just goes to show that he’s finally written a book that exceeds the general consciousness of the masses… granted he’s been close before, but now he’s really done it.

I, of course, snatched up this treasure for myself. I’ve read the Tao – 1 verse every four days for a year. This time, I can get his perspective, since he has the time and the wherewithal to immerse himself in it and record his findings for the rest of us busybodies in hopes that it might do some good and calm us all down.

I suggest everyone hit B&N for a fabulous deal if you haven’t done so already. Self improvement is a good thing.
