Keeping up with the spirit world is one thing… keeping up with the world of the living is an entirely different can of worms. And, unless you appreciate worms, it’s rough.
While the day could be spent cartooning away, I’ve allocated it to organizing the growing pile of debris that came from my old office into my new office. There was too much stuff to fit in the old one… and even though the new one is more spacious, the burgeoning junk pile is maxing it out. The likely cause is the need to harbor the guest futon, bigger work table and my abundant chair collection…
I don’t know why I attract so many chairs into my life. Hardly any of them are comfortable. They just look cool. While I’m a gracious host, my guest prefer to stand as the alternative is less accommodating. A few glasses of wine and all is forgiven. I’ve attempted to let go, sell off some of this accumulated seating, however, the only ones that have budged have been the comfortable ones!
Still I have an appreciation for each chair with each individual quirk and line. Uncomfortable furniture must be testimony to my loner nature… which is why I’m the cartoonist and not the entertainer. Certainly, I’m entertaining enough for family events (I kill a funerals). But, you’d never catch me on the comedy circuit – perhaps for one show… Alas, I am the reluctant ham.
And thus, I get to ham it up here, tossing in some intelligent ramblings about the nature of chairs and personality. Fun!
Think too much, then get over yourself!

This Investigation series is nearing the end. It will be back to the regular gags, including Ouija Nite and Sunday color versions. I’ve been pressed to get cartoons done lately because I’ve had my attention of other things…
One of these attention grabbers is the opening of my hallway gallery – I’ve got paintings, photos and sculpture hung and ready for viewing. I’m hoping to get a few copies of Entities-R-Us on the walls as well. -Â not to mention, a few signed copies of the handmade version of my children’s book, Can I Ride (for kids who want to ride horse so bad they can’t stand it).

Once I complete a few more projects, I’m aiming to launch a website with my artwork. I’ll announce that when it comes to fruition.

My thoughts here now are this.. why do we try so hard to “prove†the existence of the spirit world or the paranormal at all?? It seems to me that some of the people in this world would never accept this knowledge, even if it bit them square in the keester. Non-believers will almost always be non-believers.. no matter what WE come up with. So why do we try so hard to convince them?
My goal as a paranormal researcher is NOT to prove that there is a paranormal realm that we have little knowledge of.. but simply to help those who HAVE had experience in this realm and who need assistance in dealing with it. We can never convince the entire world… Christians couldn’t do it with the belief of God… and we can’t do it with the belief of the paranormal. I think our focus needs to be redirected towards those who need our help… not those who need convincing.
That’s all I have to say at the moment…. sorry if I got anyone all worked up.. not my intention.

I’m pleased with you response. You are absolutely correct in that we cannot change someone’s opinion and we are not meant to. As investigators we want to provide ourselves and others who are interested, with information as well as help those who are coming to terms with their experiences.
While I can’t put up any of my findings as absolute proof of the paranormal, I do believe my experiences to be true in my heart.
What is true for one is false for another.
You can never prove the spiritual through the physical unless you can drag the poor sot across the veil so they can see for themselves.
