Alas, the Hudson Valley is being loaded up with snow. I’ve forgotten what color my “Destination Truth” vehicle really is. Right now it looks a lot like a white marshmallow of significant proportion. Just think of the sugar high… or the size of the hot chocolate needed to accommodate such a thing… Once I clean it off, I pray it starts on the first pull. I should, since I’m setting my intention for success.
It was a peaceful day for roaming the village before settling in to color some cartoons. The spousal unit had the day off, so I’ve got company and some encouragement to goof off. Not bad for a Friday.

This is unprecedented… A take-out diner dinner and a bottle of Wrongo Dongo 2006Â encouraged the encounter with the pickle in question. Nothing goes to waste on my plate or, in this case, my Styrofoam. I ate the pickle in spite of a possible conflict between beverage and garnish.
There was NO conflict. The wine, Spanish Jumilla grapes, stood its ground and came out tasting rich in grape riding on a snazzy base of tannins and spices.
So, I recommend this lovely wine.
Alas, a toast to the ghosts, who bring us this chance to blog on wines… Who says it all has to match up?

‘Tis the season to talk “ghost” at Christmas functions… Visiting my old horse haunt in Ossining, NY, I was shocked to find someone who actually has an interest in the paranormal! Here I thought my discussions would be mainly equine…
She made it clear to me that my “latest home town”, Rhinebeck, NY, is probably one of the more haunted towns in the country. That’s news to me, though I’m not surprised since I’m down the block from a Revolutionary War training ground and the Beekman Arms (oldest still-running Inn in America).
No ghosts yet. I haven’t looked; haven’t sensed. Although, I do experience odd noises occasionally. I would investigate those, except that I don’t feel like filing out into the parking lot to look in the store below me in my skivvies and slippers. I’m just not that motivated IÂ guess.
Meanwhile, Eat those Christmas cookies! Hunt ghosts!
