New Character Week!

Yes, Boom Boom will be joining the Entities-R-Us crew on Thursday. The entire team dynamics will experience a major upheaval. Vera will not like this… Then again, she doesn’t like much.

Look for the character study that I’m supposed to write today or tomorrow! (This officially lights the fire under my comic butt.)

Meanwhile, I thought you might get a kick out of me wearing my Haunted Hudson Valley T-shirt. I was goofing around with the camera on my computer. I made it nice and haunted looking!

NEPA from Animal Planet’s “The Haunted”

NEPA Paranormal is today’s Guest Draw. They are known for their experience on Animal Planet’s The Haunted. Bob Christopher, the group leader contacted me a while back with an interesting experience he felt might make a great idea for a Guest Draw.

NEPA Paranormal

While investigating a gangster bar, he was shocked by the Ovilius, a device that is used to talk with spirits using pre-programed words. It is virtually impossible to receive an electrical discharge from this thing, unless you dropped it in the bathtub. Another experience they had on this investigation was the Ovilus using words that were not originally programmed into it, like “whacked” (killed mafia style).

NEPA Paranormal was founded 4 years ago. While we have only been operating for four years, most of our members have been researching the field for many more years. Our team is made up of 15 investigators who have all come together with our own unique experiences. Since it’s founding NEPA Paranormal has done over 200 cases. We have been featured on local radio, and local tv. We have also been featured on Animal Planet’s The Haunted. Co-Founder Bob Christopher has appeared on Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures. His daughter Katie has also been published in the magazine Paranormal Underground. NEPA Paranormal is also a registered non-profit organization. Our main goal as investigators is to help others understand the paranormal as well as document evidence in an effort to increase the credibility of what we do, and to assist in further advancing the field of paranormal research.

Notice I twisted the Ovilus story, “Ovilusly” for my own purposes. One of the interesting things about cartooning, is the ideas never form as you think they should. So, when someone prompts me with a suggestion, it never resolves itself exactly as THEIR intention was, but as the universe suggests it to me. I cartoon for a higher power apparently. As I always say, it isn’t me that writes the comics… I’m just the technician or the channel.

Miscellaneous-ness

Brown Nessie Surfaces

The Brits have their own “Loch Ness” monster in Windermere, UK. A recent sighting was captured by Tom Pickles on his cellphone while kayaking. He claims it was the size of three cars as it whizzed by. It moved like a giant snake. The skin was similar to a seal’s. You can see four humps in the picture.

Tom said he and his fellow kayakers paddled like heck back to shore! This is the eighth sighting in five years.

BOOM BOOM IS COMING!

The epitome of paranormal eye candy is joining Entities-R-Us next week! Boom Boom Buxom struts onto the comic stage to allow Arno to seek a TV deal with ACME Vision Television.

Thanks to all of you who participated in naming Boomy. As you know I credited two with the inspiration [since I saw the second one (Lori) first before I realized the other (Lisa) mentioned if first] Lori Pinney Woiccak and Lisa Walker Ezzell Ijames.

I’m hoping to have a character study in place on the About Page this week. So, keep a lookout!

Tenney Gate House Paranormal 101

GHOSTS is running a free class at the Tenney Gatehouse in Methuen,MA on February 19th with the Esssex County Ghost Project (ECGP). If you are going you will be treated to a presentation using Entities-R-Us cartoons! Who would have thought these would be a teaching tool?! Better to learn through humor! Alpha Ghost Team Guest Draw

Those of you who watch Ghost Hunters International will know Scott Tepperman. What you might not know is that he has his own professional paranormal investigation team, Alpha Ghost Team. Scott and Ron Bordner are the co-founders. Bill Karalius is the equipment manager. Alpha is based in Tallahassee Florida. Scott and Ron often offer Paranormal 101 classes for those interested in ghost hunting.
