Today’s comic brings up an interesting concept, psychic intervention… All of you who investigate ghosts or have had interaction with them know you are dealing with another human being, one who has decided to attach itself to the physical world.

This could be considered an addiction of sorts. So, why not have a spiritual intervention? Isn’t that what crossing them over is? Roll that around in your noggin for a bit.

I’ve always said the kindest thing you can do to a ghost is to help it move on, go to God, cross over… whatever terms work for you and the spirit in question.

LATIN and DESTINATION POMPEII

I watched last night’s episode of Destination Truth. They investigated the city of Pompeii which was destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius back in Roman times. They picked up a couple interesting EVPs. One was cough, the other a voice.

DT had Jason and Grant from Ghost Hunters review them. Both said they could not understand what the second one was saying… I was on the edge of my seat because I’d bet my sorry ass it was LATIN!! I should go back and review it myself since I took four years of Latin in high school. While I’m rusty as an old tin can, I can still hold my own at recognizing words and possibly translating it.

Granted this is a television show and they have limited resources. But, I’m a nut when it comes to EVP archeology… I want to KNOW! What are these people saying? Can we communicate with them? Who are they? What were their lives like?

The mystique of paranormal investigation for me is the communication aspect. If we can bridge the gap between here and wherever they are, there is so much to learn. We can take our EVP research so much further than, “Is there anybody here with us?”

Again, we are at the beginning of figuring this all out, so one step at at time… (I like to take giant leaps… yes, low on patience). It’s time to move along though. Let’s get answers, and let’s not stop when we can crawl in deeper discovering more.

This is not a slam on DT. I love this show and enjoy all the unique adventures they set forth for us armchair travellers. I guess I just want out of the chair at this point.
