PARANORMAL WEATHER!

by Terri J. Garofalo on February 23, 2010 at 4:44 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

Want to know the paranormal forecast in your area? I just discovered an awesome website that does just that:

http://www.paranormalweather.com

I lifted this from the site:

“This site is intended to provide paranormal investigators an additional tool when going on investigations.

There are a lot of calculations that go into forecasting a higher or lower likelihood of paranormal activity.

They include, but are not limited too, general weather i.e thunderstorms, heat, tropical activity.

In addition, other activity include solar activity i.e solar flares, coronal holes, solar wind,

and a few other effects that are believed to enhance paranormal activity.”

I’ve added this to the links page. Use it well!

Klinge Brothers of Ghost Lab Guest Draw Sunday!

by Terri J. Garofalo on February 20, 2010 at 7:03 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

Just want to alert the media Brad and Barry Klinge of Ghost Lab will be Sunday’s Guest Draw!

They expressed and interest in being cartooned so I’ve obliged. It’s nice to have someone seek me out instead of spending my time chasing people through Twitter and emails. I’m still awaiting Britt Griffith’s approval - the cartoon is ready, he is not.

Brad Klinge was pretty funny. I sent him the character studies and he dutifully pointed out I swapped their “signature” cargo pants for jeans! LOL… I put everyone in jeans out of habit or laziness. Thus, I did implement the cargos for the cartoon.

It’s interesting to draw two characters who look so much alike. For the TV show Ghost Lab, Discovery made them delineate themselves with different go-tees and applying a hat to Brad. I did notice one of the shows mistakenly labeled one of them with the wrong title in one episode. Look for that.

Anyhow, ENJOY!

Tj

P.S. My editor will be proud. I eliminated all the extraneous “thats” from this blog post! AND, my book has been uploaded to the publisher! So watch for an impeding release! WOOHOOOO!

The New Jersey Devil… and hockey

by Terri J. Garofalo on February 19, 2010 at 5:50 am

Chad Calek of Paranormal State inspired today’s comic. He was promoting the episode where they were seeking this elusive demon. I still say that was a deer… Sorry Chad. 😉 It’s the bushes in front of it that breaks up the body to make wings. Just my opinion.

Many of you probably don’t realize that I used to do a hockey comic called Puck. It was popular during the 90s and ran in a newsletter I sent all over the world called “Sweepin’ the Crease…” It was also in several hockey magazines and newspapers periodically. So, I am familiar with drawing hockey players. Although my equipment might reflect a decidedly 90s nature. I actually had to google the New Jersey Devils for their logo. I’ve been out of touch too long.

As far as the legend of the New Jersey Devil goes… I’m afraid my leanings are more toward skeptic. Those deep woods can hold a myriad of creatures that would be mistaken for something demonic, especially if you have a tall tale about a crazed woman and her lunatic son.

Many times I have laid in bed and heard what sounded like a woman screaming. It was merely a screech owl. Also, bobcats, fisher cats will make crazy noises. Deer look pretty freaky at night. I was tending a pit fire that was curing some ceramic art I created and was disconcerted to see rows of eyes starring at me in the darkness. An entire herd of deer was hanging out watching me.

We need more conclusive evidence on the Devil thing. I’m waiting…

Head Spins, Exorcist Style…

by Terri J. Garofalo on February 18, 2010 at 5:13 am

I know I’ve rummaged into this bag before, but I couldn’t resist it.

Since Ouija sometimes results in possession of one of the Ouijiers (another argument for Ouija avoidance), Merv volunteered as an example. Unfortunately for him, Vlad exorcised the demonic at the wrong moment without allowing Merv’s head to come front and center.

Question is, is he stuck like that for good? Or, will a couple trips to the chiropractor sort him out? I’d recommend my chiro, Doctor Backsnap. He’s really good. He reorganized my vertebrae a few years back (no pun intended).

For those who are not Latin-lingual, the incantations states, “Pack your bags and GET OUT!” Apparently it is one of Vlad’s more effective phrases. I wonder if he knows what it means?

Laugh it up!

Circling the Salt…

by Terri J. Garofalo on February 17, 2010 at 5:32 am

Nathan just laid a comment down insinuating that Merv is demonic. After my hearty laugh, I figured I’d flesh out the idea.

Merv is likely the most annoying person in Vera’s comic existence. He thwarts her with practical jokes and pointed comments, so it is likely she considers him evil. Therefore, her salt circle would keep him out.

The idea behind the salt circle is a barrier to protect those inside from negative energy. I seriously doubt salt in an of itself creates the barrier. I think the barrier is a psychic manifestation of the ‘salter’. The belief system of the ‘salter’ allows salt to act as a wall. Basically, if the belief system considered jello a formidable fortress, then that would work as well.

This works into that amazing theory, truth to some put forth by Napoleon Hill, “what we think about, we bring about.” One can apply this to everything we look at. Suddenly the complex world gets really simple.

So, if Vera’s belief that salt works in regards to “Merv deflection” then it will. But, there also is an agreement with Merv that the possibility of not being able to cross the salt is in his subconscious. If Merv’s belief in the ability to cross was greater than Vera’s (say she’s experiencing some doubt), he’d be able to cross. What if they are equal in their beliefs? Perhaps Merv would consider it a waste of time and not bother to cross or Vera wouldn’t have drawn up the circle… Perhaps Merv’s cell phone rings! Or, I just don’t know the answer to that one.

Anyhow… that’s some food for thought. Don’t hurt yourselves! LOL
