Once again I dive right into a potentially heated discussion, loaded with habaneros. As soon as one mentions God, the factions divide and the swords come out. I refuse to get into a religious tug-o-war. The truth is, God means different things to each of us. While I believe in a supreme creator, I refuse to label it with a term associated with judgmental anger and ferocity. The God I know would not punish.
That aside… It is eerie to consider my role in the eyes of the characters I create for Entities. I find it interesting to take their view from inside the comic strip and contemplate what or who has created them. It results in a deeper understanding of them as individuals and as a culture. It also results in some pretty good gags.
It’s good for a cartoonist or writer to probe the deepest thoughts of a character. It reveals much!
