Red Hook Church and Cemetery

Red Hook, NY Church

This is the same church that appeared in an opening scene of a Psychic Kids episode on A&E. It’s a gorgeous old structure built in the 1700s. Obviously, it is being restored.

The cemetery surrounding it is still active. Many old stones are there. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place to walk while your car gets repaired down the road. Yes, I was having my car fixed and decided to take a walk.

I don’t know if it is haunted, but there’s always the chance to go back and walk around with a digital voice recorder…

Kris Williams Hunts Jims Morrison’s Ghost

Sunday features a unique Guest Draw… We have Ghost Hunters International’s Kris Williams searching for the ghost of Jim Morrison of the band The Doors.

Rumors have circulated for decades claiming that Morrison never really died, that it was a conspiracy. Well, this comic might prove one way or another just what happened to our pal Jim. I will flesh out my own version and clue you in on a dream I had that inspired a cartoon character that ultimate led to Entities-R-Us.

So, watch for this one! I want to do some follow up cartoons to it as well. I’m hoping to crank those out to run next week. We’ll see how the timing unfolds…

P.S. … Hope you all are enjoying the paranormal “love triangle” this week. I’ve beaten this topic to death, but it just so damned funny!

Smalley’s Inn

We’ve locked in an investigation date with Smalley’s Inn in Carmel, NY. I’ve investigated there with my previous group. Now we’re gonna hit it with the new team. This time we are fortunate enough to secure the sight WITHOUT customers in the bar. I think we are the first to have a clean investigation of the place. This is huge as any EVP (electronic voice phenomena) evidence will be credible.

We are also going to be filmed for this one. How this unfolded is a mystery to me. It has something to do with my pal Donna who is the go-getter of the team… I’m grateful she has the time to organize these things. My schedule makes it impossible for breathing.

I will keep you posted on the details.

Also, I will be working on a presentation this week. Donna and I are giving a seminar on ghost hunting at Staatsburg Library soon. That date will be announced soon. We just need to get out s**t together.

I have EVPs from Staatsburg too! I didn’t think the place was haunted. Guess I’m not much of a psychic! Ha! Still, it could be just visitors off the street… Some spirits do wander.

COMICS

This weeks Merv and Vera resolve their issue… well, sort of. Vera moves on? We’ll see! This paranormal romance thing is pretty fun to write.

I’m also nearly finished with the Surviving Sisters investigation comics. Those will probably launch next week. With those will come the EVPs.

Soon I’ll be updating the evidence pages. There are a lot of investigations I haven’t loaded yet. I really need an intern to abuse…

Yup! Sunday is a Ghost Adventures Guest Draw with Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin and Nick Groff. This is at special request from fans of course. These particular fans would prefer I only draw the GAC crew…

I’m allowing Thor to wreak havoc in this one. He asked for a starring role as the “head villain.” To avoid a massive sacking of my office (which already looks to be sacked), I gave in.

Paranormal Puppets!

Nathan Schoonover from Ghost and Demon and also from the former TV show Extreme Paranormal has put together a hysterical puppet show for all you paranormal enthusiasts. I’m going to cheat and let his P.R. speak for me:

Nathan Schoonover is a paranormal investigator, student of demonology and the occult, Master Mason, and have served as consultant and lecturer for several paranormal groups. Since he believes in the supernatural but has never met anyone who can truly explain it, his talks have included such topics as Getting your Ghost to Pay Rent, What do I do if I Find Jesus in my Waffle?, and Bigfoot – Government Conspiracy or Alien Transplant?

Nathan has spent twenty years working with researchers, talking with paranormal witnesses, and studying the philosophies of both believers and nonbelievers in everything from ghosts and Bigfoot to miracles and UFOs. Nathan has served as consultant to several paranormal groups all over the world and has lectured across the United States. In 2009 he was co-host of A&E’s 2-night special Extreme Paranormal.

Nathan has served as co-host and producer of the internet radio program The Ghostman & Demon Hunter Show (www.ghostanddemon.com)for the past four years. In 2008 he was featured in FEARnet’s Streets of Fear: “Hell Hollow Road,” and was most recently a guest on a paranormal program for the Travel Channel; the episode will air in June 2011.

Being a long time puppet enthusiast Nathan loved the idea but he had lost all of his puppets in a flood years ago.

To get back in the practice of using puppets Nathan has gotten a new puppet he calls Dick Lionheart. Dick is the leader of a fictional ghost hunting group called S.H.E.E.P. (Superficial, Hypocritical, Egocentric, Elitist, Paranormal) After working with Dick a few times Nathan decided to start making a series of videos he is calling Extremely Sarcastic Paranormal or ESP.
