CORRECTION: I announced earlier the one who suggested the name for the new character, Boom-Boom. Apparently I missed the one who suggested it first! So I ran this on FB earlier to give…

…Credit where it is due: Lisa Walker Ezzell Ijames was the first to mention the Boom-Boom name for the new Entities-R-Us character. Though I noticed it on Lori Pinney Woiccak’s post first. And so they share! 🙂 Thanks gang!

While I try to get it right, sometimes stuff slides through. Sorry Lisa, you did indeed post it first! Thanks for an AWESOME name!


Sunday’s Guest Draw SECRET CITY PARANORMAL

This Sunday I am honoring one of Entities-R-Us’ biggest fans. Greg Murr of Secret City Paranormal has been a huge fan. He probably owns more Entities merchandise than my relatives!

Greg and his team recently won an award for a paranormal video he produced with his team called The Ghosts of Roane County. I will list information about it and his team on Sunday!


Also, coming Monday… more voodoo action with Merv and Vera (I just can’t resist this subject!) AND, on Friday the Entities-R-Us FIRST BACKWARDS COMIC! A mirror image of a comic that can be uniquely read to have a punchline at both ends! Saturday will be a second one! …Not unlike the Seinfeld backwards episode.

BOOM-BOOM IS DRAWN!

Yes, it finally happened… The new character for Entities-R-Us, Ghost Hunter Comic has been created in the visual sense. She is no longer just a thought wafting through the ethereal matter of the universe.

Those of you who participated in the naming via Twitter and Facebook, I would like to thank you for your imput. Lori Pinney Woiccak was the first to mention Boom-Boom. So, the credit for naming Boomy goes to her! Thanks Laura!

A little word about Boomy (which I will affectionately call her – Vera will call her Poptart…), she is NOT A DUMB BLOND by a long-shot. I deliberately created her character as an intelligent, knowledgeable person with a real sense of who she is inside. Much to her chagrin, her looks get in the way of any respect that ought to be hers. It goes to show, you can’t judge a book by it’s cover.

My purpose in creating Boom-Boom was to fill the need for “eye candy” on the investigation team of Entities so that they would be a viable gig for a TV show. Arno, desperate to have his own paranormal television series, caves in to producers and hires a “hottie” to make his bunch of goofballs seem more interesting to the adult male paranormal fan demographic. And so, we have Boomy!

Haunted Hudson Valley

Anyone interested in the Hudson Valley Hauntings should check out Haunted Hudson Valley.net

Donna Davies who runs this website puts a ton of hard work into research and maintenance of it. There is a lot of interesting information about the historic sites and legends of the valley. Who doesn’t want the REAL scoop on Sleep Hollow?!

This month’s featured haunts are the Fox Sisters of Hydesville, NY , The Ghostly Legend of Sunnyside, Son of Sam’s Devil’s Cave, Stories in Stone with Douglas Keister (Sleepy Hollow), Haunting Spirits of Salesian, Ghosts of Bannerman Island, The Poughkeepsie Seer. There happens to be a blurb about Entities-R-Us on the site this month! So, check it out!

I also want to announce the upcoming Paranormal 101 Workshop with Maria Robson of Afterlife Investigations, NY.

When: Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 6-10pm

Where: Grinnell Library, 2642 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY

Price: $35.00 per person – must be over 18 to attend.

Attendees will receive a Haunted Hudson Valley Mug. Refreshments will be served. There will be a three hour lecture, followed  by a one hour investigation.

A portion of the proceeds goes to the Grinnell Library.

I plan to be there to help out. So, come an join me!

AND, watch out for some really hot comics coming up! I’m still working on the new investigator… A bunch of Guest Draws… etc.

New Entities-R-Us Character

Yes, those of you who follow me on Twitter and Facebook know I’ve been developing a new character for Entities-R-Us. I also decided to let the fans in on the creative process of naming her.

She is a buxom blond ghost hunter, a real hottie. I won’t reveal how she fits into the framework of the Entities-R-Us Team… That will unfold through the comics.

We went through a plethora of names from Ginger, Trixie, Lola, Lana, Auxilliria, Bambi, Farrah, Bobbi Sue, Sandi Bottom, Tiffany, Sasha, Natasha, Middie, Kim Kardashian, Candi, Cookie, Vixey, Coco, Veronica, Chantal, Bubbles, Jugs, Cheri Amour, Brigitte, Monique, Yonna, Roxy, Cleo, Mimi LaBelle, Candy Sparkles, Scarlet, Krystal, Susie, Lolita, Zsa Zsa, Gigi, Ursula, Henrietta… then suddenly BOOM-BOOM showed up!

And so, after a hearty approval of the fans, Boom-Boom will be the next Entities-R-Us investigator.

FYI: SHE IS NOT DUMB! She is not dotty, irresponsible or idiotic. She is a seasoned, intelligent investigator. Now… whether the rest of the team sees her that way is the rub. So, we have an interesting twist on the “eye-candy” addition. Let’s see how out book’s cover is judged…

I still haven’t drawn her yet, but I will soon! I also need a good back-story…
