Ghost Adventures Guest Draw! Rex Williams Revisited!

Ghost Adventures Comic Strip Lock-down!

Sunday  brings yet another Guest Draw. This time the Ghosts Adventures Crew – Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin and Nick Groff.

I never intended Sundays to be only for Guest Draws. However, there are so many requests by fans to have their favorite paranormallers mashed into Entities-R-Us. It’s fun for me, as I like drawing different people or characters from my perspective.

Zak and crew interrupt the Houghton Mansion series. That will pick up again on Monday. Also, I have MORE evps… The Ghost Adventures crew is allowed to interrupt this series since they’ve already investigated there. I had to justify it somehow…

Also, I’m considering putting together a monthly Guest Draw T-shirt and Mug that will change each month to a different Guest Draw. Those of you who are interested. Let me know. I don’t want to cross any lines with the folks I’ve drawn, so I’m hoping to get input from that end first. We’ll see. Speak up if you’d be jonesin’ for a Ghost Adventures Guest Draw T-shirt… or any other character.

Rex Williams, Destination Truth Medic

I had the pleasure of chatting with Rex on the Destination Truth Fan site’s radio program hosted by Amanda Rosenblatt. Rex has read ALL of the Entities-R-Us comics! So, I had to go on and ask WHY?!!! LOL

Last weekend Rex was the subject of the Guest Draw. I must have done a good job as he showed his entire family. That’s a heck of a lot better than a huge lawsuit or a  bomb in my mailbox. I assured Rex that Merv is now back in service after his flattening at the bottom of the cliff last week. Rex assured me that he will now bring pencils and erasers on future Destination Truth Expeditions should someone encounter a portable hole or flung off a cartoon cliff.

I do think Destination Truth needs a sketch artist on site… Don’t you? Of course, there is the possibility of your Entities cartoonist being dragged off by el Lobizon or mummy-wrapped by Shelob. When one signs up for the food chain, the opportunities are endless – so are the comics. I’d just love to do a comic series based on a DT expedition. It would be SICK!

Thoughts are things, and now the thought is in the blog… as I said before, opportunities are endless.

BTW: Today’s Houghton Mansion Series comic focuses on the Masons who own the building and are gracious enough to allow paranormal investigators into their sacred space. There has been a lot of rumors about the secrets the Masonic order holds… Some of these include the real story of Jesus and the Holy Grail. Another concerns lost secrets of Atlantis. Of course my character Arno is fascinated with the prospect of discovering the lost continent… as much as I am. So you can imagine him wanting to sneak around and dig up hidden documents proving once and for all the existence of an Atlantean culture. Obviously, Vlad is less interested and more inclined to consider Arno a total fruitloop.

I guess that makes me a total fruitloop… however, I did NOT go running around the mansion peeking into sacred closets or digging up the basement. NO I DIDN’T! SO JUST GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEADS! I may be curious, but I’m not a law breaker. I don’t relish jail food or a career in license plate manufacturing.

Blog Talk with Parafactor Tonite! plus, MORE HOUGHTON EVPS!

by Terri J. Garofalo on June 10, 2010 at 8:42 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

Tonight at 10pm EST, I will be a guest on The Parafactor:

“The Parafactor – Live Paranormal Radio offers you the paranormal with a little something extra to whet your appetite for the bizarre. So grab a beer, put the kids to bed and laugh yourself scared!”

BE THERE OR FACE THE WRATH OF GUILT! We all know that sucks, so you might as well come out and enjoy yourselves for a change! See ya in the chat or hear ya listening in!

TODAY’S HOUGHTON SERIES COMIC

This joke is based on an actual occurrence. During our EVP session in the basement of the Houghton Mansion, I asked a question. The lead investigator answered it. And, snarky me says, “I’m not talking to YOU!” Walla, a cartoon is born.

MORE HOUGHTON EVPS!

The main investigation put together by Harvest Moon was a HUGE event. There were a ton of people, so the various groups were large. This made it difficult for pulling EVPs because the contamination levels were great. You just can’t get 20 people to shut up at the same time… However, I still caught some interesting EVPs. Ole Eagle-Ears is pretty good!

These also came from the basement. There were more folks there than the little girl!

1: I Asked Where is your family: A male voice said, “God took them…”

Basement5-GodTookThem

2: I have no idea what this is saying… I put is in here so that you all can suggest possible answers.

Basement6-unknown

3: This one follows the question of who is president of the United States. The response at the end sounded one way, then another… and now I’m just as confused as when I started. So, you be the judge.

Basement7-President

4: Here I asked if they thought we were funny. Faintly you can hear a little girls voice about 6 or so seconds in saying, “UmmHmm.”

Basement8-umhmmAMP

5: This on is clear, right after the investigator comments someone or something says, “The Craig Cook” or something similar to that. I am curious to know if there is a Craig Cook tied to the property.

Basement9-MeCraigCook

6: Right after the investigator speaks, you can hear a clear “I know.”

Basement10-IKnow

7: We ask if they would like us to leave. You can hear a faint voice saying, “No” then as we ask again, it says “No” right afterwards. Get your sonic ears on!

Basement11-NoNo

8: All in all, it seems like some of the metaphysical residents enjoy being involved in the investigations. How often does the dead get to chat with the living?! These days, more often!

I will be uploading EVPs from Mary’s room next. Some of these spirits are not so congenial.

Stay tuned!

Bossy EVP Questions

by Terri J. Garofalo on June 9, 2010 at 7:19 am

With the main investigation under way at the Houghton Mansion, my group retreated to the basement. Here we experienced a bit of action on the K2 meter (reads electromagnetic field fluctuations). We attempted to get a dialog with the little girl spirit who is said to reside there.

We had some response, but it was relatively quiet compared to when another group tried earlier. As I listened to our group leader ask questions, it occurred to me he was a little pushy. This prompted me to ask,

“Do you think he’s being too bossy?” The K2 meter lit up like crazy.

It’s one of those funny moments that just writes a cartoon for itself. Hence, today’s!

Houghton’s Basement Haunt

by Terri J. Garofalo on June 8, 2010 at 7:45 am

Basements have a bad rap for being scary. Mostly, they are just cobwebby and gross. Personally, the only thing I feared in my parents cellar was the furnace’s potential to blow up. It never did, but it was always a possibility and it always sounded off… like it was about to do something destructive. My early ghost hunting training began here… tromping around in the dark listening for trouble. Never discovered any wrongdoing by the furnace, nor did I find any ghosts. However, I developed an innate talent for roaming around in the dark without crackin’ my head on walls or tripping over junk.

Needless to say, heading into the labrinth of the Houghton Mansion basement was an exciting, musty adventure! This place is divied up into several rooms. There is some weird stuff down there, cobwebs, rotting boards and a little girl who probably likes running around old basements as much as I did… only she’s dead.

I journeyed down below in daylight, as I like to know the lay of the land before I patter around in the dark. I took my digital voice recorder, video and my sensory faculties.

Unbeknown-st to me, my voice recorder picked up a female voice identifying herself as Patty. There is an interesting accent to it.

EVP – “My name is Patty.” Basement1-MyNameIsPattyAMP

In this next clip I ask if anyone is here with me. At the end of clip you can hear clearly, “I’m sorry.”

EVP – “I’m sorry.” Basement2-I’mSorry

Next I picked up a conversation about being cold. It seems to say “I’m cold. Isn’t it cold…blah blah.” This could be residual energy, or perhaps on the other side the weather was brisk? If anyone has a clue on what it’s saying, please leave a comment.

EVP – “I’m cold…” Basement2-talkingColdAMP

This one I’m not sure what it says. At first I thought “hands.” Now it seems like “But as…” It could be a name.

EVP: “But as” ?? – Basement4-hands

This one is cool! It’s a male voice declaring his love. It was rumored that John Widders and Mary Houghton were involved and that Mr. Houghton did not approve of his daughter mixing with servants…

EVP: “I love a girl.” Basement12-ILoveAGirlAMP

These were taken on my walk through. I procured a few more from the big investigation later that evening. I always turn on my voice recorder, even before the investigation formally gets under way. It is then that I get the most EVPs… or so it seems. I presume the spirits are curious at that point and are not threatened by the amount of equipment and investigators tromping around.

I also want to say that I saw a shadow flitting back and forth on the Southern side of the basement. I discovered later this is common and is attributed to the little girl that haunts there.

More to come!

Houghton Mansion Series

by Terri J. Garofalo on June 7, 2010 at 9:08 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

This next series of cartoons (which skates straight through Thursday’s usual Ouija Nite – Don’t worry, you’ll get your Ouija back as soon as this batch is done) is centered around the investigation of the Houghton Mansion with Harvest Moon paranormal group. Each cartoon is based on an actual event, evidence or your basic, garden variety antics.

I am going to interrupt the series on Sunday with a Guest Draw of the Ghost Adventures Crew (Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin) since they did investigate the Houghton (and I’m backed up on Guest Draw promises).

Today’s comic is based on the psychic impressions from the Mansion. Albert Houghton died of grief days after his daughter Mary and her friend were killed in a car crash driven by his groom and friend John Widders who committed suicide as he felt responsible. It’s a tragic story. There is a sense of sadness about the place. I particularly felt this in the library.

These spirits want to be left alone. It was psychically clear to me that I was intruding on their space. One of the real psychics on board for the investigation, April Sheerin, channeled Albert Houghton. He expressed that there was to many people in the mansion that night and they were making far too much noise. This was true… as it was annoying to those of us who were seriously investigating. Sifting EVPs is tricky with all the contamination of voices.

I’ll be posting some of the EVPs I picked up. There are a few interesting ones!
