Today’s comic takes actual photos I took at the Patchett House that I couldn’t explain. I shot photos from the porch into the dining room. Suddenly I caught a black mass in three shots. I initially blamed the camera strap and used several shots to debunk it. I still couldn’t get it to look exactly like what I took. You can even see a shadow on the door frame. Also, it is obvious the flash went off as the door frame is lit. We had the lights off.

Below is the sequence. Let me know what you think. It is impossible for my fingers to block my flash or lens as I have a Cannon G series. I think it’s a G-6 (I don’t remember numbers – I’ll look it up later and add it to the post).

Patchett House - Looking from porch to dining room - before.

This second photo shows a black mass in front of the camera. The left of the frame could be the camera strap. However, that does not explain the rest of the frame being dark. You can see a shadow on the door frame. It appears something was standing in front of the door, directly in front of my camera.

Patchett House - Looking from Porch into Dining Room - Black Mass 1. You can see the shadow on the door frame. Even if the camera strap is in the left of the frame, it doesn't explain the shadow. Also, it is exceptionally difficult to get the strap to block the lens. I've tried.

This third shot shows a dark mass in the doorway. There is no way this is a camera strap. All my debunking photos never even came close. You can see the flash on the door casing. There were no lights on, so I needed to use the flash.

Patchett House - Looking from the porch into the Dining Room - Dark Mass 3

This photo shows the darkness retreating to the dining room. You can see more of the door casing. There is no shadow on the casing either.

Patchett House - Looking from the porch into the dining room - Dark Mass 4

This photo seems to show the blackness advancing. It is casting a shadow on the door frame, blocking the flash. You can see the flash has gone off as the door frame is lit on the right. The blackness is denser too.

Patchett House - Looking from the porch into the dining room - Dark Mass 4. Mass is gone.

The shot was taken right after the last one. These were consecutive photos. I also captured a strong EVP while I was on the porch.

This is the EVP:

At first you hear the quiet word, “Courage.” Then you hear loudly “DON’T WANT HER TO LEAVE HERE.”

Let me know what you think of these. I’m hesitant to declare them paranormal, however, this is a really weird technical problem to have with a camera…

Stay tuned for more Patchett photo comics!
