God only knows why I started up with this cartoon series… There is something inherently interesting in the idea of Trekkies crossing over with their preconceived ideas of an afterlife. It is easy to capitalize on the inherent humor of a fans of a TV show that was cancelled long before some of them were born.
The Star Trek franchise is one of those phenomenons that defies Vulcan logic. Some how it went “viral” without YouTube assistance. I remember back in the early 70s having to play “Star Trek” with the neighborhood kids. Since I never watched it back in the day, I had no idea what character I was supposed to be impersonating… probably a Klingon. I wasn’t that fond of hanging out with humans at the time anyway.
What truly fascinates me, is the the connection between comics and the Trek. It must be the fantasy aspect of discovering new universes, or the humor aspect of William Shatner being a sex symbol… (Sorry Bill). Perhaps, because of this connection, I embrace my Trekkie nature. I have no right to be a Trekkie, as I only know a few sporadic quotes, and have yet to watch more than two episodes of the original show. What I lack in knowledge, I make up for in humor.

You know it has to be some sixth sense that kicks in when your hair stands up. Does this mean it’s a ghost, monster, or just danger? Perhaps it can mean all three, depending on the circumstance. Usually, fear creeps in and one feels the need to flee or protect the body.
If you analyze it, it really means there is an energy shift and you are perceiving it. It could be a throwback to those days when we needed to be on high alert for attacks from wild beasts, an instinctual behavior. However, I’m hedging my bets on the higher self giving fair warning.
We all show up on the planet to have a conscious physical experience. Once, eaten, it’s over. So, I imagine the higher self would want to keep us around for a bit. Therefore, it would steer us from danger, or turn us on to something we need to pay attention to.
So, when you feel that uneasy prickle, ask yourself, “what’s up with that?” You may discover an amazing answer… AND, it may NOT be a bad thing at all. There’s always the hope it’s a winning lotto ticket at your feet!

Many people worry about what ghosts will do to them. For the most part, nothing. The best they can do is surprise or scare. There are tales of people being pushed and scratched, but those are rare. In the scope of things, an AK47 will cause more damage.
The only worthy weapon in a spirit’s arsenal is fear. He or she will attempt to manipulate the living by playing on the fear response. What I tell people who are troubled by a haunting at home, is to stand up to it. Most of the time, all one has to do is acknowledge the spirit’s presence. Just asking it kindly to play nice goes a long way. Remember we are talking about a human being (unless you have a non-human entity… this is another topic. You’ll know this because it causes far more chaos than a ghost).
Your best bet is to get a grip. Know the ghost does not have the power portrayed in horror movies. Know you have the upper hand. It’s like having an invisible roommate. Set the boundaries and everyone will get along fine.
