Blogtalk with Dustin Pari

by Terri J. Garofalo on July 26, 2009 at 7:06 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

I joined Frank and Jerry on Erie Paranormal’s Blog Talk last night.

We were fortunate to speak with Dustin Pari of Ghost Hunters International. He was a wonderful guest and just as down to Earth and honest as they come. You can review the podcast on the website: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ghsthunter346.

As it looks, both Barry and Dustin may be appearing as a Guest Draw in Entities-R-Us in the near future. I just need to iron out character studies and get approval… Yes, they need to be okay with it! Not that I have anything worth suing over at this point in my life. Who needs and extra “Destination Truth” vehicle in their yard? Besides, scarfing my car would only insure that I couldn’t run from the village mob thus making it easier to burn me at the stake. (I think I better take up running again… get into practice.)

I would like to announce that on August 7, Dustin Pari and Barry FitzGerald will be releasing their book, The Complete Approach, a guide to paranormal investigation that will really have an impact on the field. (I know I’m gonna read it!) So, keep your ears peeled for it… and if you want one for free, do a promo for it on U-Tube – see Dustin’s MySpace page (D. Pari) for details.

Also, if you would like to make a difference in someone’s life, Dustin posted on his MySpace this great idea below:

Hey Y’all…

I am hoping you can help me with this- it would mean a lot to a brave little soul-

There is a little girl in Richwood West Virginia and her name is Danielle Bartlett.
Danielle has a brain tumor and is very ill.

Her wish for the Make a Wish Foundation, out of all the things this little girl could wish for, she asked for one thousand cards to be sent to her. That’s all she wants.  Amazing.

She could have went to Disney World, she could have asked to meet her idol, but no, a thousand cards is what she wants.

That’s not very much to ask for so help me to make this girl’s wish come true!

So lets send her Get Well Cards, be they store bought or home-made.

Her address is:

Miss Danielle Bartlett
260 Country Club Rd.
Richwood, WV 26261

If you would like to sign her guest book or leave her a comment in addition to sending her a card you can do so at:

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/daniellebartlett

God Bless you all for your kindness and compassion
And God Bless Danielle and children like her everywhere

—D.Pari”

Thank you Dustin for making a difference. We will follow in your example. It just makes sense.

Enjoy, Eat Cookies, Hunt Ghosts!

Cincinnati Music Hall – Springer Auditorium

by Terri J. Garofalo on July 25, 2009 at 7:01 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

Today’s cartoon is about the Music Hall again…

There have been reports of spirits appearing in the audience during performances. There are also reports of them appearing on stage during performances as well… that comic is on its way.

Those of you who read yesterday’s “Red Light, Green Light” comic will be interested to know that there have been accounts of footsteps following people in the Music Hall. When the person stops, the footsteps stop as well. To me, that’s the perfect opportunity to play the game of “Red Light, Green Light.” Why not make ghost hunting fun, eh?

Check out Queen City Paracon which will take place in April at the Cinci Music Hall. If you go, you may be witness to some interesting activity. Something might just follow you around the exhibits. Hey, it must be just as entertaining for the ghosts as it is for the paranormalers! queencityparacon.com

Enjoy!

Paranormal TV Shows Faking Evidence?

by Terri J. Garofalo on July 24, 2009 at 6:31 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

I answered this question on another blog and felt it was important enough to post here.

Rumors abound about which paranormal TV personalities are faking evidence. Some accusers have gone to the extent of pulling clips out of context and posting them as “proof” of falsifying evidence.

Paranormal TV is just that, TV.

A clean investigation is impossible with a camera crew, etc. on site. The odds of evidence contamination are great.

If these shows fake evidence, that’s too bad. We’ll never really know. It is still entertainment. We should enjoy it and not look upon it as absolute scientific proof. We can’t… too many variables. Also, camera angles and such can be misleading.

However, we can honor the Ghost Hunters and the other paranormal TV shows for legitimizing the possibility of ghosts for the general public. The local fireman can go to work and discuss his paranormal experience without being condemned to the loony bin. These shows have opened the mind of the layman.

This, in turn, has legitimized the field of paranormal investigation. Never has it received this much positive attention. We should appreciate that and not be so eager to sign up for a “witch hunt” (no offense to those of a pagan persuasion).

On another level, this spirit awareness is a part of the awakening of consciousness that we, as a collective whole, are experiencing in this era. So, if the personalities of paranormal TV shows are vehicles chosen for this, then we should honor them as conduits to the beyond from which we all have come from and will return shortly.

This is one of those topics likely to stir heated debate. For me, it’s not worth the trouble. My business is making humor and inspiring worthwhile thought.

Ouija Nite Pre-empts Music Hall Investigation…

by Terri J. Garofalo on July 23, 2009 at 6:06 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

We will resume the Cincinnati Music Hall Investigation tomorrow… the guys needed a night off. And so, they enjoyed a Ouija Nite…

Of course, Ouija Nite is never truly enjoyable since it usually means attracting some nasty entity that wants nothing better than to start trouble.

So is this an impersonator of Grammy Alkaloid or the same thing?

Stay tuned for the rest of the Cincinnati Music Hall Investigation in support of Queen City Paracon.

Ghost Hunting is FREE!

by Terri J. Garofalo on July 22, 2009 at 9:48 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

I just got off the phone last night after discussing a paranormal issue someone was having. These folks apparently have poltergeist activity so bad, they cannot live in the place.

I want to get my group to go in there and sort it out. The person I was talking with said that it would cost a lot of money and that one of the owners was rich and would likely be able to take care of the problem on his own…

Demons don’t back down for money… So, I was trying to figure out where this conversation made such an unusual U-turn. When it occurred to me this person thought my group was going to charge some exorbitant fee to come in and clear the joint.

This made me realize that many people do not know that a majority of paranormal investigators do not charge for their work… in fact, they do it expressly to help those in need.

GHOST HUNTING IS FREE FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT! I want that clear to those of you out there who have spirit issues and need assistance. Do not be ashamed to call in some reserves. WE as ghost hunters are there to HELP you.

Most ghost hunting groups supply their own funds or survive on donations. Others do fundraisers. Truly legitimate paranormal groups NEVER CHARGE THEIR CLIENTS.

So, if you would like to help out a paranormal group financially, many would happily accept a donation. I would encourage it. It’s helpful to be able to afford equipment, gas and car maintenance.

If you are a client and are asked to pay a fee, please hunt down another group. Always check out their credentials. If the services they provide fit your needs, then use them. If you need your home cleansed, make sure you pick a group that has the ability to do that. Not every ghost hunter has the capacity to rid your home of spirits. Some can only investigate.

Do your research, get recommendations, but don’t PAY for this service. It’s more difficult to be honest when someone has handed you $100 and is expecting a haunting or a cleansing. Neither of you will be happy with the results for lack-there-of. This is not an exact science. We are dealing with the supernatural which is unpredictable at best. So, there are not guarantees.

Just thought you ought to know or be reminded of the unwritten code of paranormal investigation, “Thou shalt not charge.”
