Blogtalk with Dustin Pari

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

I joined Frank and Jerry on Erie Paranormal’s Blog Talk last night.

We were fortunate to speak with Dustin Pari of Ghost Hunters International. He was a wonderful guest and just as down to Earth and honest as they come. You can review the podcast on the website: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ghsthunter346.

As it looks, both Barry and Dustin may be appearing as a Guest Draw in Entities-R-Us in the near future. I just need to iron out character studies and get approval… Yes, they need to be okay with it! Not that I have anything worth suing over at this point in my life. Who needs and extra “Destination Truth” vehicle in their yard? Besides, scarfing my car would only insure that I couldn’t run from the village mob thus making it easier to burn me at the stake. (I think I better take up running again… get into practice.)

I would like to announce that on August 7, Dustin Pari and Barry FitzGerald will be releasing their book, The Complete Approach, a guide to paranormal investigation that will really have an impact on the field. (I know I’m gonna read it!) So, keep your ears peeled for it… and if you want one for free, do a promo for it on U-Tube - see Dustin’s MySpace page (D. Pari) for details.

Also, if you would like to make a difference in someone’s life, Dustin posted on his MySpace this great idea below:

Hey Y’all…

I am hoping you can help me with this- it would mean a lot to a brave little soul-

There is a little girl in Richwood West Virginia and her name is Danielle Bartlett.
Danielle has a brain tumor and is very ill.

Her wish for the Make a Wish Foundation, out of all the things this little girl could wish for, she asked for one thousand cards to be sent to her. That’s all she wants.  Amazing.

She could have went to Disney World, she could have asked to meet her idol, but no, a thousand cards is what she wants.

That’s not very much to ask for so help me to make this girl’s wish come true!

So lets send her Get Well Cards, be they store bought or home-made.

Her address is:

Miss Danielle Bartlett
260 Country Club Rd.
Richwood, WV 26261

If you would like to sign her guest book or leave her a comment in addition to sending her a card you can do so at:

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/daniellebartlett

God Bless you all for your kindness and compassion
And God Bless Danielle and children like her everywhere

—D.Pari”

Thank you Dustin for making a difference. We will follow in your example. It just makes sense.

Enjoy, Eat Cookies, Hunt Ghosts!

Grids and Goofs AND BARRY FITZGERALD

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

FIRE THE GRID: Yes, I meditated at 6:19 yesterday… along with the rest of the world. It was pleasant to send good energies back into the Earth. As a conduit, it certainly benefits me as well.

ON A GOOFBALL NOTE… I screw up proofreading yesterday’s cartoon. The last panel of the Nutcracker cartoon was missing the word “do” - oh well. It wasn’t too confusing. I’m sure you all got the joke anyway. It just reflects on how busy I have been and how inattentive my proofreading has gotten. So, I’ll just clean up my act. I can thank my brother, Peter, for pointing this out… leave it to a relative to discover your shortcomings! LOL! Actually, I’m glad he had such a good eye. It’s helpful to me and Entities!

Thanks Petudi!

SATURDAY NITE AT 1OPM on Erie Paranormal’s BlogSpot Radio http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ghsthunter346 , BARRY FITZGERALD of Ghost Hunters International will be calling in. Also, I am scheduled to be co-host for the evening. So, I better get funny fast… ;)

Barry will be promoting the book he and Dustin wrote “The Complete Approach.”

ALSO, BARRY AND DUSTIN WILL BE APPEARING AS GUEST DRAWS IN THE COMING WEEKS.

AND, BRIAN HARNOIS WILL BE APPEARING IN THIS SUNDAY’S GUEST DRAW… AND into Monday with a follow up cartoon.

You might get the idea that I’m busy…

Enjoy, Hunt Ghosts, Eat Cookies,

Game Cameras and Monsters…

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Today’s comic is about those infrared game cameras they use on shows like Monster Quest and Destination Truth in hopes of catching Bigfeet or land-going sea monsters. Like Arno, I tend to watch these programs in hopes of discovering some truly nasty beast emerging from a lake to make me an appetizer. Somehow, that’s just cool.

The amusing thing is, especially on Monster Quest, they make you wait for an eternity of TV until the last minute when they REVEAL THE EVIDENCE - and there is absolutely NOTHING on the cameras. Well, perhaps an indigent skunk… What keeps us watching, is an eternal optimism that out there, is a formerly extinct plesiosaur that has somehow eluded our sight in a land-locked lake, in spite of people spending most of their lives and most of their net income and every piece of modern technology looking for it.

Game cameras can be useful on an outdoor paranormal investigation. You can catch a lot of paranormal investigators when they walk past. At least you know what they’re up to… Ghosts? Who knows… ghost skunks maybe.

And so, I have Merv get his experimental hat on for this cartoon. The game camera might be a little tame for Merv who is partial to the controversial Magic 8-Ball investigation tool.

Once again, I stay tuned for Saturday’s Erie Paranormal Radio Show with Frank Grande and myself (Jerry bailed for this one - the bum). Barry Fitzgerald is planning to call in to chat with us. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ghsthunter346

AND, don’t miss Sunday’s comic with Brian Harnois in the Guest Draw slot! He also runs into Monday this time!

Did Blogtalk with Barry, Jerry and Frank… yadda yadda yadda…

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

…I’m really tired today. I never seem to get to sleep after a radio stint. My brain gets into gear and won’t shut down, even if I remove the keys.

To add insult to injurious lack of sleep, my ghost hunt for this evening was cancelled due to sucky weather. The Law of Attraction has been sending me lots of thunderstorms. I’ve got to lose interest in electricity apparently…

Speaking of electrical events, not only did my freshly charged phone die out… Poor Barry Fitzgerald had one heck of a time staying connected to us on the blogtalk last night. He was with his fellow GHIers in the furthermost reaches of the universe investigating ice. Actually, it was a secret location in some remote area of the world that has yet to put up enough “Franken-Trees” to distribute cell phone signals efficiently. (I will discuss the concept of “Franken-Trees” at the end of this since it’s such an important topic - to me anyway.)

Barry called and recalled several times with the patience of a seasoned paranormal investigator. He managed to get a few EVPs off of us and we of him. You can review the discussion here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ghsthunter346

Yesterday the website was launched for the book, The Complete Approach, by Barry Fitzgerald and Dustin Pari. This is a ground breaking book that attempts to unify the metaphysical with the physical in terms of investigation technique. It takes into consideration the sensitive as well as the scientific. It’s an important book for those wishing to understand the paranormal.

I will order mine today.

Also, as you can see, today Brian Harnois is the Guest Draw. I want to wish Brian and his wife well as they bring their new daughter into the world this coming week. Blessings to you and your growing family, B!

AND, I want to announce that Barry and Dustin will also be Guest Draws in the coming weeks. And, I’ve been in contact with Shannon Sylvia who ALSO has agreed to do a Guest Draw. Pretty soon, I won’t have any more “fake” characters on ERU. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! How could I leave out the wonders of Arno, Merv, Erna, Vera, Vlad, etc?!

So, to get your copy of The Complete Approach” please go to http://www.completeapproachbook.com.

Enjoy, Eat Cookies, Hunt Ghosts… I’m gonna take a nap.

OH YEAH! The concept of the Franken-Tree… Perhaps I’ve discussed this before, but it’s too funny not to have at it again. There has been a move, prompted by annoyed neighbors, to make cell towers more appealing. One of these is to make it look like a tree with the idea that it’s supposed to “blend” with the local landscape. While they do a pretty good job with the disquise, those botanical sorts, or those who pay attention to how trees ACTUALLY look can spot ‘em a mile away.

There is an obvious one on the Taconic Parkway in NY that can be viewed as you head South to New York City. It’s an amusing attempt to apply fir branches at varying intervals on a pole. Like Frankenstein’s monster, it is missing the “life” and “treeness” of it’s authentic counterparts.

I nearly got fooled with one in Southern Vermont that can be seen cruising on Route 91 North heading into Brattleboro. Eyeballing a rolling hill, I noticed one VERY tall tree… abnormally taller than the rest. On closer observation it was a Franken-Tree… though a really good one! New England cell tower people understand what fir trees in the region are supposed to look like. This was a fine representation of a white pine… although a really BIG one. I have to commend them on this specimen, not sparing the expense with mere sporadic branches. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m actually missing more Franken-Trees in the landscape. I guess that’s a good thing?
