Wine Review

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 26, 2009 at 5:58 am

It’s been a long time since I reviewed a wine. Probably because I’ve been drinking the same old stuff. However, last night I was pleasantly surprised by a white wine out of Argentina.

Finca El Origen, Reserva, Torontes 2007 from Salta Argentina

Generally, I prefer reds. Rob talked me into this one. It stood up well to our mixed green salad with balsamic, fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola and olives – yes, olives. Olives can really do a number on a wine. This one is olive-proof.

Nice to kick back during the first heatwave of the North East, sipping a lovely citrusy, peachy vino that hints at the spring flowers that are rising up to the sunshine in the April breeze.

Good image, nice wine.

Enjoy!

(I know, what does this have to do with ghosts? Nothing – the bottle wasn’t haunted.)

Morning jog through the graveyard

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 25, 2009 at 6:33 am

This morning found me running around for a little elevated heart rate. My travels took me through a revolutionary war graveyard in the heart of Rhinebeck.

Paranormally speaking, I was curious to know if there were any spirits hanging about there. It’s been a loooonnng time since these folks were interred. I imagine they would have gotten bored after a couple hundred years of lurking the graveyard shift.

I plan to pass by one evening with my camera and digital recorder. Perhaps someone remains and has something to say after all this time. At the very least, I’ll get some really interesting artistic shots.

Paranormal PDA

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 24, 2009 at 5:54 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

We had an interesting occurrence very early one morning of this week. My husband’s PDA suddenly lit up as it sat on his nightstand. This, of course, woke me up – light sleeper that I am.

It flickered and flashed a bit and remained on. I’m not sure what it was doing. Rob said, the only reason that would come on by itself, was if someone touched it.

Question is, “who” touched it?

Food & Wine in Rhinebeck – Hallway Gallery

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 22, 2009 at 12:11 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

Yesterday evening, we ventured forth into our town to enjoy “Taste Of Rhinebeck”. The local restaurants and wine stores opened their doors to the locals for an evening of sampling fine victuals and vino.

We discovered some new eatery possibilities. All the food was great. I was more than full, as I needlessly ate dinner beforehand.

I was only sorry that I didn’t open my Hallway Gallery for the occasion. I would have served cookies and coffee (my expertise!) while folks perused my sculpture and paintings. Check out my paintings in wine -very cool!

If you are in the Village of Rhinebeck, take a look for the Hallway Gallery on the East side of the parking lot by the liquor store on East Market Street. Between Pottery Shack and Madisons. It’s now open on Fridays & weekends 11am-3pm – unless something comes up! With any luck you’ll catch me drawing Entities-R-Us as I sit there (what else is there to do?!).

Believing in ghosts…

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 21, 2009 at 5:44 am

What happens to the unfortunate skeptic who meets an untimely end, doesn’t realize it and becomes a ghost?

Does that mean he no longer believes in himself?

Stew on that pot!
