So You Think You Can Cell Phone Dance…?

This gets off the paranormal topic a bit, yet doesn’t entirely leave the road over the cliff… It was inspired by my brother and his habit of dancing to the ringtone on his cell phone.

It’s quite entertaining. So, I’ve brought it into the cartoon for your amusement.

Also, soon I’ll be putting some pertinent information in this blog. The holidays have held me hostage. With the noose growing loose, I’ll be able to concentrate on this again.

Meanwhile, enjoy the comic. After all, that’s the point, isn’t it?!

Carl & Thor’s Horror Review…

I thought it would be funny to revisit the “Mystery Science Theater” comic idea. Again, Carl and Thor discuss a horror movie.

It would be fun to do more of these comics. However, that necessitates that I actually WATCH some horror flicks to authentically review them through the eyes of Carl and Thor. I came dangerously close to mixing up “Friday The 13th” with “Halloween”. Honestly, I did see “Halloween”, but have NOT seen “Friday the 13th”… sorry. 😉

Ironically, I’ve never been a fan of horror flicks. As a kid, I did watch the Chiller Thriller thing on TV in the afternoons (my brother would hide). I don’t spook easy, so horror doesn’t do much for me. But, to honor the goal of the comic strip, I’ll loosen my bonds and check some of this stuff out. They say “Paranormal Activity” came out on DVD…

You’ll see more of this stuff once I do the research! 🙂

Welcome to 2010 – the year of the Entity

I have no idea what the Chinese will be calling this new year, so I’ve jumped the gun and named it ahead of time. Besides, their New Year occurs at a different time anyway. One of us is screwed up… not sure who.

This bodes to be a great year for this comic strip. I’ll be getting out and about, attending functions, publishing a book or two and making more products available. One of the resolutions in place is to soup up this website. I’d like to be selling drawings and comic originals by the later half of the year.

So, the sites are set big and bold. I just have to fulfill my comedic agreement.

I send out the humor to you all because it’s good for both of us! Enjoy it!

Character Bleed Throughs…

Alas, I’ve been dipping into the past, looking back before I have to switch gears in the New Year.

This character is Pudgy. He also hails from my first comic strip, Wabbit Hutch. He’s also seen action in a bunch of other ‘toons I’ve created. He’s been compared heavily to Opus from Bloom County, though he was invented before that strip hit the big time… so it was purely circumstantial.

Pudgy has been one of my perennial favorites, so it’s a warm bit of fun for me to bring him into Entities-R-Us  for a shtick.

Somehow, I managed to tie it into the paranormal field. It’s a amazing what you can connect when you open all those internal filing cabinets at once.

Past Comic Strip Lives…

I was instigated to be a little creative and drag back a couple old characters from an earlier comic strip called Wabbit Hutch. I’ve mentioned before that Arno looks a lot like Radar, a character from that era. Here you can see how close he is.

Merv also is related to Punk, another from the strip. You can see the similarities. Merv, of course, has stopped smoking and has gotten a slight bit more intelligence… leaving the Jar Jar Binks-ism behind.

Arno has Radar’s energy, but is not much of a chick magnet. I guess we all come into new lives with different goals…  Poor Arno.

Tomorrow’s cartoon also resurrects and old favorite of mind, one who is probably the best character I’ve ever created… and more like my crazy self than all the rest. And yes, he loves cookies!

I love google… proved I was right in my spelling of Jar Jar Binks AND Auld Lang Syne. I had no idea I could spell the last one! WhoOOHOOOO! Spell check doesn’t even recognize that! HA!
