Also, I took the weekend off to enjoy some R&R with the family at the lake house on Skatutakee in New Hampshire. I was the only fruitloop to go swimming in the ferocious winds that created quite the surf on the lake surface. While it was a chilly swim, I managed to lure in two more victims. Water fun is always had no matter what the temperature or wind chill in my book. The relatives know I’m eccentric anyway… so, no one was particularly freaked out.
The beauty of gusting wind is that the entire mosquito population was either pinned against the stands of pine trees or blown off into the next county unable to feast on the Barbecuees. As usual, good food, good company was had by all. One of the relatives didn’t have time to cook, so they bought KFC chicken… which my dad tossed on the grill for a reheat… this resulting in a nice smokey taste to an already 11-herbed-spiced product. As strange as this was, I highly recommend it! …though not for the waistline.
So, now I’m refreshed and back in action. Keep an eye out for some good humor this week!
