Full Moon…

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

At my end of the planet, the moon has gone a-full.

I’m always amazed at the impact this has on me. Usually, I cannot sleep, lying awake all night long with the moonlight streaming in. This time, sleep is in order for I am DOG tired. What’s up with that?! I’ve also been nursing some headaches the last two days.

Why do I blame it on the moon? It’s good circumstantial evidence… In reality, I just came off a long cycle of work. I tend to work for 7 days a week. Besides the day jobs, I do this comic strip and blog. Things have wound down, so now I’m in a state of recovery.

Which is why I have nothing interesting to write about today! The source has cut me off so I can rest. So, what I really need to do is stamp on my ego, tie it up and leave it in the corner. That way it won’t bother me about taking a breather.

And so, today, I take a breather… at least for an hour or two.

Enjoy! Take your own breather if you need one!

Whatever it takes…

Monday, July 20th, 2009

All of us have different belief systems about crossing over. Some of us think we head across a bridge to the other side, others believe in a tunnel of white light… Some of us think we go to Hell in a hand-basket. I prefer a shopping cart myself.

Today’s cartoon is about that sort of thinking. Here Erna provides this bunch of Cross-overers a chance to get on the “White Light Bus.”

Whatever works!

This is food for thought for those of you who are attempting to help a ghost cross over… It’s helpful to find a good believable lure or incentive. I’d expound on this more if I didn’t have to go to work right now. You can fill in the blanks.

Enjoy, Eat Cookies, Don’t work too hard,

Vampires, Witches & Stakes

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Stakes are generally involved in persecutions around the world…

When one want to do torch somebody, they get themselves a nice big stake to tie the “offender” to. When one want to drive something through a heart, they head out and find a nice sharp stake. Vlad the impaler went out and got a whole load of stakes when he wanted to make a point… (pun almost intended, but occurred naturally). Even the Monty Python crew did a bit about “pointed sticks.”

We often forget that stakes have more benign uses… like holding up tents. My dad stakes his tomatoes to keep them off the ground. Stakes a can be signposts…

Stakes can be signposts. Signposts that make us realize that persecution is a stupid idea. Perhaps we have reached an age of consciousness that will retire stakes to the use of benign activities, like gardening or camping.

We’re so done with the middle ages thing.

Yeah, I know… got a little poignant today. oops.

A quote to sum up a journey still in progress…

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I do a fair amount of spiritual reading. And this quote popped out today, even though I’ve read it before. Suddenly, at that moment it had meaning.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”    —Lao Tsu

Thus is my journey creating this comic and growing its success.

Perhaps you can apply this to your own goals, dreams…
