Ghost Lab Guest Draw… Queen City

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 4, 2010 at 5:36 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

Okay… so I drew Brad too short! He pointed that out himself via email. Smart-ass me asked him what about his persona would make me THINK he was shorter… I was kidding of course. I honestly think camera angles on the show contributed to it. And, you rarely see the two standing next to each other. There is also the way Barry carries himself (these are things cartoonists note about people). Barry is more erect in a passive observant mode, where Brad is leaning forward and seeking. The forward lean would make him appear shorter.

Of course all of this is a huge excuse for me screwing it up! LOL! I talk a lot about “happy accidents” and this is one of the many amusing slips in the strip. Some artists might lose sleep. But as long as a lawsuit is not pending, I’m not fussed about it.

Queen City Paracon at the Cincinnati Music Hall is on for this coming Friday! If you will be in the area, please come by! There are lots of cool paranormal celebs including the Klinge Bros, Carl Johnson, Jeff Bellanger, Aaron Houdini, Syd Schultz, etc… oh yeah, and me.

Morgue Investigation…

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 2, 2010 at 6:52 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

I did investigate outside a morgue recently. It was kind of weird, however I didn’t get any “hair-raising” feelings. I have yet to review the evidence from that particular EVP session.

To me it would seem ridiculous for a spirit to hang out in a morgue when there are so many other interesting places to go. I wonder why they even consider hanging out at grave sites, unless relatives are visiting.

It would be my guess that ghosts would head to where the action is. It’s human nature to check out what’s going on. It’s especially tantalizing when you consider you are invisible! Think of the eavesdropping that could be accomplished! The “fly on the wall” is not quite a cool as the “spirit in the corner”!

When I get a breather, I’ll check out my morgue audio… We’ll see if anyone is hanging out.

Ouija Boards… Burning, Chuckin’ Out, etc.

by Terri J. Garofalo on April 1, 2010 at 7:39 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

Once again I toss out a Ouija warning. A Ouija board, spirit board or whatever board (except cutting board perhaps – unless you use one for ritual sacrifice) are portals to another plane that allow lower level entities in to communicate and sometimes cause a ruckus.

It’s sort of like inviting someone off the street when you live in a questionable neighborhood. You never know what’s gonna turn up. Once you’ve used a board it is open for business. The tough part is to shut it down.

Before you get “rid” of a Ouija board, you have to close the portal. There are many different ceremonies that allow you to do this. I won’t go into that here… Google is at your fingertips should you need it. The next thing to do is to burn the thing. That ensures it’s forever shut down. BUT, YOU MUST CLOSE THE PORTAL FIRST! If you just burn it, whatever was allowed in, will stay… probably with the location, YOU or whoever else was involved. After that, it gets trickier to remove the offending energies.

As this cartoon says, these garbage guys are in for quite a fun ride… Nothing like a possessed garbage truck careening down the highway!

Waking up dead…

by Terri J. Garofalo on March 31, 2010 at 6:18 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

I’m always interested in what someone thinks after they pass and discover that existence doesn’t just shut off. For someone who is a tried and true atheist it could be an issue. Would they realize they are dead? Would they know enough to go on to the light? Would they ignore the light, hang around the usual haunts or decide that the time is ripe for that vacation they thought about all those years?

For comics like these, I like to use Erna. She’s the psychic and therefore has a more direct connection than Arno’s EVP recorder. She is also a helpful sort and will more than likely direct the entity to the nearest “white light” station.

What would YOUR reaction be if you suddenly woke up dead?

I would be happy to cross off my entire to-do list for sure! 🙂
