EVPS!

Here’s a few of the good ones I picked up on my brief investigation of the nursing home Sunday morning.

5helpmefix-51 < This one seems to say “Help me.”

8inmylifefix-8 < Answer to me saying they will be forgiven for what they did in life. Answered, “In my life?” at very end of clip.

20rogerjuanfix-20 < When asked for names these two respond, “I am Roger.” “And I am Juan.”

24iknowfix-24 < After I speak someone, in an odd voice says, “Marla.”

26takecontrolfix-261 < Male voice says “Take control.”

13pushitdownfix-13 < Spirits were trying to figure out the automatic towel dispenser I asked them to turn on. One says, “Push it down.”

25voicebreatfix25 < Nasty little spirit insulting my mother says, “Your mother’s going to HELL!” That was uncalled for… My Mom’s a nice person!

Early Morning Investigation… & Flip the Ink!

I did a short 5am investigation of a local long-term care facility that I’ve looked into before. The new claims were motion censor lights going on without any apparent physical cause.

While I didn’t get to experience that, I did get a little play on the EMF detector when I asked EVP questions. Previously, I did get some EVPs from this place. The female spirit of a young suicide victim haunts here and possibly one other as there was a second voice of a male.

This was a tough place to gain baseline EMF (electromagnetic field) readings. There is a lot of equipment as it is a kitchen and cafe are chocked full of freezers, ovens and various gizmos - not to mention automatic doors, weird wires in the walls. However, I was able to camp out in one spot and eliminated the possibility of fluctuations with the various equipment cycles. I did seem to get significant spikes based on responses to questions.

It’s a tough place to hear with all the buzzing from the equipment, so any possible knocks I asked for won’t be apparent until I review the digital recording.

I did get the sense of a presence. It was tough for me to read as I am exceptionally sensitive to the equipment EMF fields and I cannot trust 100% what I was picking up on.

The neat thing was most of the activity has been noted to happen around the time I went in. With ghosts, timing is everything! Let’s see if it paid off…

River of Demons…

I wanted to give Vlad an excellent source of holy water from a dicey river… The first thing that came to mind was the song “Dirty Water”  sung by The Standells in 1966 (It’s playing in my head as I type).

“Down by the River…

Down by the banks of the River Charles

This mentions the “dirty water” of the river Charles in Boston, MA. I figured that wouldn’t come to the audience’s mind quite so quickly as it would me… as it is my birthday today and I’m probably older than most of you! (And, damn proud of it! – I keep well.)

I traveled south to New York City where the East River lurks with all it’s lovely contaminants. What better place for Vlad to extract his holy water from! It would definitely have a deep understanding about evil and therefore, like Professor Snape in Harry Potter, know exactly how to deal with the Voldemorts of the world.

So, here’s to the East River! May it vanquish it’s demons!

Turning a Camera into Full-Spectrum

This concept belongs in “Merv Adventures – Don’t Try This at Home”…

I have run across a few different sets of instructions that supposedly allow one to convert a regular digital camera into a full-spectrum version. I ran one set of plans by Barry FitzGerald, of Ghost Hunters International and a highly respected paranormal technician. His response was, if you want to break your camera, go ahead!

Each camera has it’s own chip and they do not all work the same way. Also, many of these plans “think” they are creating a full-spectrum camera and they are not. So, before you get out your screwdriver and trash your Nikon D-300 apply the brakes. And, for God’s sake, don’t troll E-bay for one of these altered jewels as they are not going to live up to what they are touted.

And, yes, this comic was inspired by Barry’s comment! And, NO I didn’t trash my camera! 😉
