RSS Fixed… or so it seems.

by Terri J. Garofalo on March 30, 2010 at 6:36 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

For all you Entities-R-Us diehards out there, I think I’ve fixed the RSS feed all by my anti-web self. In an attempt to get my blogstats to run on EST time, I swapped out time zones only to cause a hiccup in the RSS feed. So, I’ll live as if I’m in another part of the world – doesn’t faze me much. It just proves that Entities is a global comic.

Let me know if this works! If it does, I’ll spend the day being HUGELY impressed with myself. Webcode is my kryptonite. It’s one of the drawbacks to having a design degree from the era when sticks and rocks were the main tools at the time. I’m AWESOME with sticks and rocks!

Thanks for your patience! I hoping to revamp this site soon. Got some cool ideas…

Merv Adventures!

by Terri J. Garofalo on March 29, 2010 at 7:32 am

I’m revisiting Merv Adventures. We all know someone who tinkers around to the point the object of tinkering is destroyed. Merv is just that kind of guy. Today he pulls a “Ben Franklin” in his quest for the paranormal in the atmosphere.

Stay tuned for another Merv adventure coming up! The funniest people are the ones who are a danger to themselves… in a good way… or only in comics…

Enjoy!

Guest Drawn Out!

by Terri J. Garofalo on March 28, 2010 at 12:14 pm
Posted In: Entities Blog

Each week I’ve managed to scrounge a Guest Draw… some have been requests by fans or subjects themselves. Today of course is Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson from Ghost Hunters on SyFy. This was definitely a fan request. I was basically abused into this one! Not that I didn’t want to do it. It’s just these two paranormal heavyweights are tough to pin down for a draw. So, I’ve relaxed my rules and have just opted to Guest ’em anyway.

Hopefully, Jay and Grant won’t send me hate mail. LOL! Josh Gates liked his enuff to email me a positive reaction. So, I won’t be anticipating and evil cryptids in the mail.

Next week in prep for the Queen City Paracon at the haunted Cincinnati Music Hall, I am re-Guest Drawing the Klinge Brothers - since they are going to be present at the paracon. I will also be there. I’m hoping some of you folks who frequent the ERU site will show up at my table! I’ve got books and original drawings for those interested!

Anyone who can’t make it and wants the first ever paranormal comic strip in book form check out the store! Proceeds go to keeping the comic alive on the web! AND, you get inside information about how this comic was formed, drawing techniques, paranormal interests… Barry FitzGerald of Ghost Hunters International, SyFy was kind enough to write the foreword for it. There are also Queen City Guest Draw T-shirt of the entire cast of characters coming to the con that are only available from this website (Unless Rich put a link from Queen City).

Books are available here: https://createspace.com/3434644 or you can venture into the jungles of the http://www.amazon.com

Beyond Paranormal 101

by Terri J. Garofalo on March 26, 2010 at 5:52 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

A good friend of mine, Deonna Kelli Sayed, has come up with an exciting idea. Many of us are hungering for more in our studiously perpetual pursuit of the paranormal. She is looking to start a webcast that digs deeper than the obvious wonders of an orb, and even the visage of a full-bodies apparition. …beyond the limits of our everyday vision.

How many of you are interested in this? We’re looking for feedback.

Deonna’s proposal:

It seems a growing number of paranormal enthusiasts want something beyond basic paranormal 101 talk.  Several investigators, or “ghost hunters,” are becoming increasingly interested in thinks like how quantum consciousness, psi, neurology, anthropology, and metapsychics impact what investigators do.  I’ve heard that some people are looking to put together a more nuanced webisode on this issues. It would explore things like the history of ghost hunting, how to make investigations more scientific, involve parapsychology, authors of books on issues of interest beyond ghost hunting. The webisode would also be a place for some paratainment personalities to talk as investigators rather than celebrities.

Is this something you’d be interested in? If you want “something more” than basic talk, what would you like to see?

—Deonna Kelli Sayed

Let us know what you think! And stay tuned for Sunday’s Guest Draw with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of Ghost Hunters, SyFy!

Jason Hawes & Grant Wilson Guest Draws! Sunday!

by Terri J. Garofalo on March 25, 2010 at 6:52 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

The Ghost Hunters themselves will be the Guest Draw for Sunday! Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of SyFy’s Ghost Hunters series will join Entities-R-Us in the comforts of their own Spaulding Inn.

The Spaulding Inn is a hauntingly welcoming vacation location situated in New Hampshire’s mountains. Those of you who are looking for nature’s wilderness excursions by and to party with the spirits by night (and I’m not referring to the alcoholic version) will be impressed.

Yes, the Spaulding is haunted. Nothing demonic I assure you! Just good old friendly New England ghosts.

The Spaulding often hosts paranormal investigations. There are rates for those who want to come hunt the astrals that hang out there.

Check it out! http://www.thespaldinginn.com/

BTW: Latin translation for today’s comic: Quales Illic Homunculi = Quality of a little men or creatures (weird little munchkins). Merus stupor: Purely stupid (quintessential cretin)
