Historically, divining rods have been used to locate water. This actually seems to work, though most scientists would say your full of S**t.
Some folks use them to detect paranormal activity. This also seems to work… however, it is nearly impossible to prove. The best you get is corroborating evidence with EMF meters, and other devices.
It is definitely interesting. And, is unfortunately easy to fake. I recommend experimenting with them for your own adventure. It’s cool when you can prove they work, if only to yourself. 😉

I had my well dug by using “witching rods”. We call them well witchers. The last investigation we were on, the woman at the location was using diving rods to talk to the spirits. They told her they didn’t want us there! LOL Maybe true, when I said one time “we’re here for then night”, you can hear someone say…wasn’t one of us, it was an evp….sh*t! LOL I guess she was right! LOL They didn’t want us there…LOL
I think they work. It’s just tougher to prove than it’s worth.
