I actually watched this for the first time the other night, hence the comic. I’m not much for horror flicks, but curiosity killed the cat and I needed to check it out.
Several things of note. If someone weird is calling you, don’t stay on the phone. If they are in your back yard, call 911 even if they say not to. Lock your doors – DUH! If your boyfriend is creepy, ditch him. …There a plethora of advice to take before you embark on an adventure like these teens did. LOL
Carl and Thor obviously don’t get the disemboweling thing either. Who needs to worry about a body once one has bit it? Being dead isn’t all that bad. It’s better than being terrorized while alive! That’s the crummy part.
Ironically, a couple of teens put on a Scream costume and paraded around the neighborhood on Halloween. It really freaked out the adults (which I’m sure was the kids’ intent). Apparently my neighbors watch too many horror movies…

HAHAHAHAHA! I like your perspective. This was one of my fave movies for a long time. Grew out of it. I guess what you pointed out started making sense so it lost some of the appeal…
