Ouija Nite for Paranormal Underground

by Terri J. Garofalo on August 12, 2010 at 7:42 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

As usual Entities-R-Us is appearing in Paranormal Underground Magazine (this is an ongoing gig for the Entities crew). The August issue is out today and is featuring the Ouija Board! AND GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS? THURSDAY! OUIJA NITE on Entities-R-Us! How cool is that? Again… comic psychic forces are at work here.

Enjoy the issue, which is online at www.paranormalunderground.net or at http://paranormalunderground.magcloud.com/.

EVENTS!

SUNDAY’s Guest Draw is Ghost Hunters International’s Ashley Godwin, Scott Tepperman and Paul Bradford. This leads into a full blow GHI Guest Draw with the ENTIRE crew on Thursday for Ouija Nite. It’s a Guinness Record for the most ghosts hunters in one comic strip EVER. I doubt it will be broken because the only one stupid enough to draw that many people in one comic strip is me. AND, I dont’ hanker to do that since it’s a lot of work and I’m inherently lazy (well, that might not be true entirely).

This also means Paul Bradford has been in 3 consecutive Guest Draws… which makes him the Guinness Book holder of consecutive Guest Draws beating out Josh Gates and Brian Harnois. (If it were MOST Guest Draws the Klinge Brothers might be in the top slot – I really need to check into that. Jeff Belanger might be a close second.)

JOIN ME THIS Sunday, August 15 at 9pm EST (8 CT, 7MT, 6 PT) on The Haunted Truth blogtalk with Douglas Carnahan http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thehauntedtruth

JOIN ME AGAIN Thursday, August 19 at 11pm EST (10pm CT, 9pm MT, 8pm PT) on Pair A Normal Guys blogtalk with Jason Pepper http://www.blogtalkradio.com/pairanormalguysinc-paranormal-talk-radio

Please join the chats or call in! I’m up for a good heckle as always. Talkin’ comics and paranormal everything!

FYI

🙂 LAST CHANCE FOR BRIAN HARNOIS DUDE RUN Guest Draw T-shirt, Mug or Posters.

This will change to the next one on August 15. Last day to order is the 14th. THIS IS LIMITED TIME ONLY! So, if you’re a Brian fan, get yours now on Cafe Press: http://www.cafepress.com/ERUGuestDraw

Asking Questions…

by Terri J. Garofalo on August 11, 2010 at 9:44 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

Often we see folks on TV or otherwise sit down for an EVP (electronic voice phenomena) session only to ask for a knock response or to move something. While it is “like WHOA!” when something flies across the room, even if it’s caught on camera, there are too many ways to debunk it. (This comes from a discussion I’m having via e-mail with my friend and avid ghost hunter, Greg Murr of Secret City Paranormal).

The truth is spirits only have so much energy to manifest physical sounds, apparitions or movement of objects. If we use it all up on one shift of a trigger object, we might just miss out on valuable communication that can prove who might be haunting and relay some historical facts that can be verified later.

There is value in coming into an investigation prepared with a list of EVP questions that relate to the property and it’s history. If possible, once evidence it obtained, to return with more refined questions and ANSWERS to any queries the ghosts may have. Conversation is two-way, correct?!

I encourage you to weigh in on this one. Also, if you have any really interesting EVP questions you would like to use, jot those down as well. I’m attempting to compile a list of intriguing things to ask an astral.

BTW: Coming up Sunday is a Ghost Hunters International Guest Draw with Ashley Godwin, Scott Tepperman and Paul Bradford. This will lead into another GHI Guest Draw on next Thursday for Ouija Nite.

VOTE FOR PEDRO! or me rather…

I’ve been officially nominated for Haunted Hudson Valley’s Top Paranormal Celebrity. If you’d like to see my name in flashlights, vote! Click here and vote for your top haunted spots and assorted ghostly number ones: http://www.hauntedhudsonvalley.net/awards/

Visit the Haunted Hudson Valley Website for lots of local HV New York haunts and legends! http://www.hauntedhudsonvalley.net

While I’m not the typical celebrity, it would be a humorous moniker to stick next to my usual titles of fruitloop, ripsnorter and silly-heart.

BLOG TALK TONITE!

Today, August 9th at 9pm EST (8 CT, 7MT, 6 PT) I will be appearing on NEARPS “Now That’s Paranormal” Blogtalk Radio with Chuck Crow! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/nearps

Ghost Hunting in the Dark…

Today’s comic and a few other ones I’ve done recently deal with darkness and ghost hunting. It’s also a great way to avoid heavy drawing. HA!

Why do we search for ghosts in the dark. I really don’t know for sure. Perhaps it’s the only time we notice them? Or is it that they seem to find more energy to make things happen when the sun goes down?

My personal experiences living in a few haunted houses have shown me that it doesn’t matter one HOOT whether it’s night or day to them. Most of my experiences have been daytime events. (Of course I may have slept through all the astral wild parties at night.)

It seems to me we could save a ton of money on night-vision equipment and go daytime solar and still catch evidence. Alas, we’d be giving up the scare factor… Ultimately, we all want to get freaked out.

Adrenalin rushes are good exercise.

Apologizing for Armageddon

by Terri J. Garofalo on August 7, 2010 at 8:41 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

Since I created Carl and Thor AND the poltergeist in question. If your life was ruined suddenly by the onslaught of Armageddon in your neighborhood due to Poltergeist activity, all I can say is… Gee, sorry about that.

Carl and Thor are being duly punished for renting a Poltergeist of Mass Destruction without proper training in Polter-handling. A short stint in the Oubliette outta sort them out. An oubliette is one of those neato Middle Ages devices that allows one to do rude things to people they don’t like. It’s basically a stone pit with spikes sticking up at the bottom. The idea is to toss the offending person into the pit and let them get spiked upon landing. It’s really easy and painful… for the victim. The victim would be left to rot there. This is why castles were so huge, so they could move the living quarters to the other side of the building while nature took it’s course on “Rotting Ralph”. Of course our heroes Carl and Thor are ghosts already, so it probably won’t have much impact on them. They’ll likely miss Ouija Nite which is more painful than death was for them initially.

Tomorrow’s Sunday comic is REALLY GROSS! It will show you just how nasty my thinking can get… I wonder what inspires such disgusting humor? I’m left to ponder…

Bagans? bacon? or Frodo?

by Terri J. Garofalo on August 6, 2010 at 11:13 am
Posted In: Entities Blog

That oddball EVP I picked up in my office is causing a bit of a stir.

It sounds like Bagans, Bacon or Fagan.

My initial thought was Bagans. Now this could be Zak Bagans of Ghost Adventures since his comic was on top of one of the piles in my office at the time. Or, it could be Frodo Bagans as his little figurine stands on my bookshelf next to Legolas and my rubber warthog. OR, the spirit could be in the throws of a bacon fixation.

I’m reposting it here. So, you can all weigh in on this debacle.

Zak Bagans responded on twitter: @EntitiesRUs that makes about 15 random people getting my full name on their evps in the last 2 weeks…surprisingly not surprised lol

So, apparently ghosts across the nation are quaking in fear that Zak and the GAC crew might show up on their metaphysical doorstep and make trouble.

Weigh in folks!
