It’s been a long time since I reviewed a wine. Probably because I’ve been drinking the same old stuff. However, last night I was pleasantly surprised by a white wine out of Argentina.

Finca El Origen, Reserva, Torontes 2007 from Salta Argentina

Generally, I prefer reds. Rob talked me into this one. It stood up well to our mixed green salad with balsamic, fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola and olives – yes, olives. Olives can really do a number on a wine. This one is olive-proof.

Nice to kick back during the first heatwave of the North East, sipping a lovely citrusy, peachy vino that hints at the spring flowers that are rising up to the sunshine in the April breeze.

Good image, nice wine.

Enjoy!

(I know, what does this have to do with ghosts? Nothing – the bottle wasn’t haunted.)
