I do not feel my apartment is haunted… at least not too much. I have noticed odd things occurring that can SORT of be explained, but with no great assurance as the situation still sports some inordinate weirdness.

We have had my husband’s PDA turn on by itself. It could have been moisture. But it wasn’t humid at the time.

My digital voice recorder turned on by itself to a file from an EVP session from my old house. I blamed this on the camera which was setting on top of it in the case… However, the camera had been on top of it for over a week or two. Still, it may have settled. That same day I smelled pipe smoke, the same I used to smell in my old house. That could have come from outside. There is a smoke shop nearby. But, I couldn’t find a source.

YESTERDAY, while puttering around the kitchen, a small bag of garbage slid across the floor as I turned to look at it. There was not breeze strong enough to move it. It was fairly weighty with it’s vegetable matter and coffee grinds, plus usual garbage stuff. There were no liquid containers. I though perhaps it may have fallen over, but there was no way for it to slide on it’s own. The tiles were level.

I could not sufficiently debunk this one. So, I think I’m going to set up my voice recorder, ask a few questions and see what turns up.

This apartment is a new structure, but the town of Rhinebeck is a very old town. It is steeped in Revolutionary War as well as Native American history.
