Orbs vs Dust

Saturday’s comic shows an actual photo I took at the Garrison House. While most orbs can be dismissed as dust or moisture, this particular photo is strange. It was taken before the investigation got underway. Little disturbance happened in this particular room up to this point.

I was feeling a heavy energy in this room. We had that experience during our previous investigation. In fact, a couple of our team became emotional in this room. This occurred with one of our members again later in the evening. The orbs are intriguing, but more so is the activity hovering above the bed in front of the hallway chair leg. That does not look like dust to me. Orbs can surround paranormal events, so perhaps this is a paranormal event. It is not conclusive. The photos taken before and after showed no orb activity.

Paranormal Adventure

Saturday’s investigation of Garrison House in Ft. Montgomery yielded some interesting activity. Issac Garrison built the initial structure in 1788. It has been added on to over the years and has survived the Revolutionary and the Civil wars.  This was our second time here. We did this 1788 bed and breakfast one a year ago filming for a Paranormal Valley episode that was never completed.

The first time yielded little evidence. Some had personal experiences, and the evps were quiet. We felt the camera crew and extra people caused the spirits to retreat. This is still a quiet haunting, but it was evident there is something going on here. This is a good thing, as Garrison is a lovely bed and breakfast where guests enjoy the lovely atmosphere and hospitality of Holly and her crew.

Our experiences included odd photos, heavy feelings, disembodied voices, and a pair of disembodied feet! Yes, I saw a pair of, what I took to be feet, step down a stair after we asked the spirits to join us in the living room… I’m not 100 percent sure, but it was the only explanation I could come up with.

I will continue this dialog with evidence on the IndyPara website this week.

Ghost Hunt Back on for Saturday!

I will be heading out on the first paranormal investigation of the year! Gathering my gear… I’m nearly ready. I will get some serious rest tonight.

We’ve been to this place previously with a TV crew. This time we go without all the drama. The ghosts were reticent the last time. I’m hoping a more peaceful gathering will bring them out stronger than before.

There is the opportunity to see an apparition. So, we’ll set our sights on capturing the dude at the top of the stairs!

This has been a paranormal kind of week. Early in the week I spied our ghost cat slinking down the hallway at 3:33 in the morning. So, I’m ready for more!

I’ll let you know what happens!

Ghost Hunt Postponed

It was a bummer to discover this weekend’s ghost hunt was postponed to next week. Fortunately, this works out great for me as I’m deep into Country Courier Magazine. This explains the sporadic comics this week. Sometimes I think about attempting syndication yet again and making enough money to be able to focus on the cartoon exclusively.

That thought aside, I had the opportunity to return to the Patchett House for another paranormal investigation. My team is going with Poughkeepsie Paranormal Investigators. But, I chose to focus on finish the magazine and put up the comics. Paranormal investigation is a big deal. It’s much more than spending an evening up late looking for indigenous spirits. There are hours spent afterwards going through photos, audio and video. So, with this in mind I’m missing out, but I’m preserving my time for next week’s premier haunt. I will fill you in on those details after we complete it.

I miss writing. Somehow, I have to carve time for this. Entities-R-Us needs another book! This post seems like a rant, but it’s actually a part of my thought process, which helps me focus on what is important. It can be hard for artists to find time to do what they love. The world is not ready to support our endeavors as fully as we would like. So, we hang on, continuing our creative ventures in spite of it all.

So, today is one of perseverance and dedication to the craft of cartooning… DRAW ON!

Ghosts vs Demons

There is an argument on some religious fronts that all paranormal activity is demonic in origin. If this were true, then we would be the only non-evil in the universe. So, therefore, how could God exist? He would be a demon!

Obviously this is false if you really look at it. I believe in goodness. It is because of that belief I attract decent paranormal experiences. It is the Law of Attraction at the heart of this. If one believes demonic forces are out to harm him or her, then so it will be for that person.

Belief is a powerful thought process. It creates truth for that person… But, not for everyone else. It is this very reason why those who fear demonic phenomena should never play with a Ouija board or even participate in paranormal investigation. Their very fears will produce for them, what they dread.

I suggest these people really analyze their thoughts. There is a deeper truth here. Listen to the heart. It is more likely to tell the truth than the mind. Spirituality lies there, the true self. Most of ghost hunting is intuition. Those deeper senses tell you what kind of entity is present. Yes, some are nasty, but rarely do we meet evil if ever.

I pray you remain positive in thought and purpose. It is this “Patronus” which will protect you in the darkest of circumstances.
